It is the beginning of a new month, and all the major automakers have started shooting their sales numbers into our mailboxes. Royal Enfield has also shared its report revealing its sales performance for the last month.
In the press note, the company said that it registered sales of 38,065 motorcycles in June 2020, as compared to 58,339 units in June 2019. These numbers signify a year-on-year (Y-O-Y) drop of 34% in wholesale figures. Breaking down the June 2020 numbers, the company sold 36,510 units in the domestic market and exported 1,555 units to foreign countries.
The green shoots are, however, in the month on month sales numbers. RE’s June sales are more than double (107 percent) of its May sales (18,429 units).
Apart from that, the company also announced contactless sales and service initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure maximum safety and convenience to customers. The company has started several experiences to customers, including an option to buy new Royal Enfield motorcycle without walking into a dealership.

The company also launched exclusive range of apparel for women. The riding gear includes riding jackets, trousers, gloves, helmets, t-shirts, shirts, and jeans. Royal Enfield says that the collection has been crafted, keeping in mind the riding habits of its female customers and varied weather conditions across the country.
