2-Wheeler exports March 2022 – It has been the savior for most makers. RE and Suzuki are improving significantly, however, Honda has been losing this race..
With domestic numbers falling for the last many years, most of the makers have started focusing on exports – which is the only solace for them. Suzuki and Royal Enfield seem to be doing really good while Honda has been a laggard here.
2-Wheeler Exports March 2022
- Bajaj Auto – Ranking at the top, Bajaj posted better numbers in YoY terms, however, there was a drop of over 18% MoM.
- TVS Motors – The second largest 2-wheeler exporter TVS, on the other hand, registered a drop of 8.82% YoY but gained 1.63% in MoM numbers.
- Hero MotoCorp – Largest domestic seller is third in exports. Hero ended March exports in green in both YoY and MoM numbers. YoY exports grew by 7% and MoM numbers were up by over 30%.
- Suzuki India – In YoY terms, Suzuki’s numbers were up by a massive 52% while MoM exports grew by almost 9%.
Top 6 Two-wheeler Makers in India – Sales Overview March 2022 – Domestic
- HMSI – For some reason Honda dropped down to the fifth position in terms of exports. The Jap registered the highest drop in exports among all the key manufacturers. YoY they were short by 26% while MoM numbers dropped by a massive 56%.
- Royal Enfield – Though the standing table does not do justice to their numbers but Royal Enfield have been doing good in exports. They were up by 56.33% YoY along with the MoM exports grew by 30.96%. Only a few thousand units more and it may overtake Honda in the tally.
