Suzuki Officially Confirms GW250 for India

by atul on February 5, 2011

Here comes a piece of news that could leave Suzuki fans and all other bike lovers with great sense of excitement. We have already published news that Suzuki’s GW250 may come to India anytime. Now Suzuki India has confirmed that GW 250 a.k.a. Baby B king is coming to India in a short while.

Update: The launch of GW250 is not confirmed. The news from Suzuki was faked by Suzuki fans for unknown reasons.

Suzuki has displayed this bike at CIMA motorcycle show held in China and since then speculations were going on whether this bike will actually come to India or not. The clouds of uncertainty have been cleared now and it is confirmed that Baby b King will be soon launched in Indian market.

GW250 has the charisma and the stance to overpower bikes like CBR250R and Ninja given that Suzuki markets the product well. Baby b King Sports a 250cc 4 stroke liquid cooled engine that can produce a maximum power of 26Bhp @ 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 24 Nm @ 7000 rpm.

However the power of GW250 is at par with CBR250R, the torque is marginally lesser. The Baby b King weighs approx 180 Kgs which is slightly heavier than CBR250R.

There has been no word from Suzuki regarding the price tag of GW250. Then again, according to industry news, GW250 will have a price tag between 1.5-1.7 Lakhs. Well, we expect the price to be competitive and at par with Suzuki’s other competitors like CBR250R. Overall the picture looks pretty clear. Suzuki has been criticized a lot of times in the past, guess this time they are making a comeback with Baby b King.

Looks base Suzuki 250 with 25HP for India/Asia markets. …not twin…150 kgs woulda been gr8. Hyosung is 150kilos/250cc/V-twin/27.5HP…same body as the 650 – awesome….Ninja 250 still leader except price.

The best looking bike among 250CCs is this Suzuki. Looks like having very comfortable riding position like GS150R. Price it competitively and win the mass. Be first to launch this, Suzuki, ahead of Honda and Yamaha. Market is waiting eagerly.

This bike will be preferred by tourers. It will not turn youngsters or customers who aspire stylish and powerful bike. This bike too will have great response but from different customer niche.
