Poll: Which is the best 150cc Bike in Your Opinion?

by Deepak on December 26, 2010

Recently we published a 12 150cc bike comparison article. Many of our readers were quite happy with the results but some people did not agree with our ratings, which is completely natural and expected. So we are inviting you to this poll!

Update: The poll is now closed!

We closed it a lot earlier than expected because we found out that the rating of Suzuki GS150R went up suddenly in a short period of time. We are very careful with such polls and when we notice something wrong, we correct it. The duplicate polls of GS150R has been removed and the current ratings represent opinions of real people.

Thank you for your participation!

well, each bike fulfill certain needs of which the other bike lacks.but overall if i have to choose an all rounder, Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler is the best.but i would have easily choosen yamaha FZ16 as the best 150 cc if it was more fuel efficient like dazzler.

Inder December 27, 2010 at 11:09 am

very true. only the fuel efficiency in the cons. in fz series.

PIYUSH PRANSHU December 28, 2010 at 6:15 pm

tvs apache 160 gives tough tym to all d 150 cc bikes competing 2 it

if u hv doubt take an apache 2 ride
and u wud know wat seperates a man frm a boy
and rahi baat milege ki toh every bike in 150cc segment gives about to similar milege
jst a difference of 2-5 kms dat wud be calculated as an excess of 100-300 bucks xtra

but in return we get gud bike, gud looks, stunning performance and yes a great confidence boost on road

and i mst say fz16 is no doubt a grt bike but evn it also faces a tough competition frm apache on road and all credit to ovrsquare engine and 15.2 ps power (2nd most powerful 150cc bike after r15)and evn the compression ratio of 9.5:2 where others provide 9.5:1…………….and if u complain abt its tyres…… do u want 2 know why its nt as wide as a fz bcoz dey wanted 2 make a agile bike and slimmer d bike more is d agility………….. and abt d vibs and servicing….. if u servvice and maintain ur bike it wud give less vibes and yes pls don’t rev up ur bike during running in period…………………

love ur bike like ur darling and u wud see wat it can do for u

and at last i mst say each bike serves its own purpose sum r meant 4 comfort, sum r meant 4 milege, sum r more reliable and sum r meant 4 performance…………. and any bike is nt best but each bike is spcl….

love ur bikes dey r wonders and dey r ur best partners on road

Shubham Mukherjee December 26, 2010 at 5:01 pm

I would had voted for the Dazzler anyway because I booked it on 28th November . And more importantly because it is the best all-rounder . I mean , come on guys !! India is a developing country ! We cannot afford to have different bikes for different purposes . At least we , the middle class or the upper middle class people – who always plan money ; at least my parents will not allow me to have Unicorn and an Apache together !!!! ;-)

PIYUSH PRANSHU December 26, 2010 at 5:17 pm

but who wants an unicorn when we cn serve all our purpose wid apache………………

Shubham Mukherjee December 27, 2010 at 7:54 am

Well , you must be a performance freak ! I mean there is nothing wrong about that as long as you get yourself a good motorcycle for that purpose which the Apache is not . A marriage cannot be called a good one if any one of the partners are not quite good enough for the other one ! Trust me , the chassis is not capable enough to handle nearly 16 horses ! And yet TVS is using the same chassis for even the 180 with reasons only best known to them ! If you want a good performance bike then wait for sometime and go for the KTM if you can live with the horrible fuel economy when petrol is sixty rupees a liter . But be assured , you will get the best performance bike in sub 250 category ! :-)

Arvind December 27, 2010 at 1:13 pm

Apache didnt serve any purpose of highway riding for me, sorry. It is powerful, agreed, but not an all-rounder like Dazzler.

Amol Birje December 27, 2010 at 1:48 am

go for a 100-125 cc bike then, they are cheap and surely can beat Dazzler in performance

PIYUSH PRANSHU December 28, 2010 at 5:59 pm

but one mst agree dat looks of dazzler really sucks…………….. its pretty traditonal and choice of uncles and grown ups…….we youth who form a major population of bikers in india want gud looks, grt performance and abt to gud milege and APACHE serves all d purposes nicely

nice looks, a milege of 45 kmpl if revved up too hard and 50 if rode at a speed of 40-60, power and yes a smile of pride….. and i being a youth don’t know wats resale and wats those grown ups think of bikes…………….
i think biking is all abt passion, adrenaline rush and yes a nice smile wen u give a twist 2 throttle and hear dat grunt and growl and beat other riders on road….. :) ;)

@ arvind: u said apache r nt meant 4 highway riding……. u may hv heared dat frm sum1 bt i mst say it gives d similar sporty riding posture as a r15 gives…….. wen r15 cn b so gud wid dat posture why nt apache……………….???? waiting 4 answer…. rply soon….

and u all praising unicorn so much but seriously it lacks appealing power………..bike sud appeal and dats d reason pulsar survived 10 long years and i think apache and tvs hv to go a long way……………… :)
and i still say each bike is spcl and hv its own target customers…… we youth prefer performance so we go 4 apache, fazers nd fzs……. and sum ppl want performance and milege dey go for pulsars, cbz and hunks ……..and ppl who want a bike ofr more milege go for unicorn, dazzler and discovers and szx…… so i love revving up my bike now nd den beating others and my budget is 75ooo…….. so i prefer apache 160s and 180′s :D ;)

dipesh view March 8, 2011 at 10:53 pm

Thuogh honda unicorn is very smooth and returns good mileage but it should be called as 125cc bike because its soo under power please check its hp power this is secrete for its great mileage like 125cc its a smooth commuter bike but its lacks in performance. once i saw unicorn trying to rev his bike to overtake bus i was shock to see unicorn performance its feels soo under power that time i was riding really calm on RTR-FI in that situation i feel GS150R is really good bike which serve perpose like smooth drive and milege.

Sam August 12, 2011 at 8:50 pm

@piyush; lol u compare a 14horse dazzler to discover…?dazzler is a superb,smooth performer and a complete package..not vibrating hell as apache…apache is no where near dazzler…

ranjith December 26, 2010 at 5:44 pm

very true..dazzler is my choice..got everything in the right proportion..

Tushal December 26, 2010 at 6:54 pm

If we remove FZ and Apache which target specific customers, Unicorn(s) and Pulsar(s) seem to be best bets.

Soumen Ghosh December 26, 2010 at 8:56 pm

If we remove Dazzler and Apache which target specific customers, Yamaha FZ16 and Yamaha Fazer 150cc seem to be best bets. :)

Tushal December 28, 2010 at 10:40 am

Hehehe nice!!! But FZ and Fazers are not “Mass” bikes, which indeed is good for owners… :)

arun December 26, 2010 at 8:32 pm

I feel that gs150r is a perfect package for city and highways it is a great value for money product which comes for Rs.70,000 it has got everything that a commuter should have great mileage(expect 57kmpl) i am getting it personally ,6th gear for long life engine and cruising on highways , butter smooth engine and butter smooth gear shifts , attains top speed of 124kmph easily try it in power mode @ 8500rpm in every gear, majestic looks and gives a big bike feel to the rider and the pillion feels like they are sitting on a horse, sporty commuterish looks , surely turns others head for its big bike looks on road ,vibration less engine, two modes eco(mileage) and power(for speeds and fun), superb stability at top speeds that no other 150cc bikes can give, impressive torque response u can feel it after crossing 6500rpm cz of XTP(extra torque performance), gear shift indicator , best looking console in 150cc and powerful horn . the biggest negative is its poor headlight focus , heavy , initial pick up may not be satisfactory but the way it reaches 0-6kmph and 0-100kmph is completely impressive , bike suits only for people who are atleast 5.8 height and finally it is the second quickest bike to reach 100kmph after r15

Shubham Mukherjee December 27, 2010 at 8:12 am

Well Arun , I cannot judge you properly as you are a stranger to me , but deep down inside me , somewhere I feel that your comment is a bit misleading ! First of all , extra gears do not help significantly in increasing engine life . Engine life depends completely on the owner and of course , the engine itself . But be assured , Gixer has a good engine and the chassis , although is not anything innovative , but is good enough for the engine . So it is a good marriage ! And thanks to the detuned engine , gives pretty good mileage compared to its displacement .
Secondly , the Gixer is perhaps one of the slowest 0 to 100 accelerating 150 cc motorcycle . This is mainly because of the detuned engine and a heavy body , but it can maintain high speeds with relative ease . You may be surprised to know that the Gixer takes a true time of 22.43 seconds to make it to the ton , whereas the CBZ takes 16.74 and the Dazzler takes 17. 38 seconds . Do you know that even the so called “very powerful” FZ-16 takes a little more than 21 seconds to make it to the ton ? And one thing , I did not make up these figures , they are from a very reliable source !

arun December 27, 2010 at 8:48 pm

Hi subham mukerjee i just got that information from the showroom guys and also from some of the local mechanics who are expert in dealing with modification bikes thats y i typed like that didnt know so far but thanks for letting me know and yeah of course gs150r takes time to give u adrenaline rush but once u across 50kmph you can rule the road with great speed believe me i ve tested it in several ways and i felt hair raising effect every time and personally i ve reached a top speed of 124kmph in ecr road chennai easily without any stress from the engine but after that it struggled but being a commuter we cant expect more than this speed right ? :)

arun December 27, 2010 at 8:57 pm

and u wont believe me buddy when i brought this bike on feb2010 every one in my neighborhood started asking my bike for a test ride and at signal points many on road would stare at my bike at least for 10 sec min so far nearly about 35-40 people would have asked me about the bikes performance even on the go some ask

Pritam Dhamde India December 28, 2010 at 9:09 am

Hei u there.
As u said arun is a stranger to u(y u said I didnt understand) here no one is our brother or father or cousin.here we r telling about our bikes we own which is good high quality product but here it is denied a lot.yes ur right im talking about gs150r which I own.
How u can say that more gears doesnt increase engine life.according to me when a bike is runned in low and proper engine rpm range the engine remains the same and healthy becoz it remains stress free, this is what the 6th gear in gs is meant for.i agree with dis that gs is slow in intial pick-up but who are we kidding gs is a executive sporty commu-tourer.and returns best in class mileage.
Thats all I like to share right now.

Aakash November 16, 2011 at 6:37 pm

who said Fz’s is the most powerful ….???? APACHE RTR 160 reaches a ton in less than 15 seconds ….. how abt that???

Gagan December 27, 2010 at 3:25 pm

Totally agreed with Arun, GS150R is a package that covers everything, and I specially like it because of the vibration free performance of the engine, and the comfortable ride even at high speeds on highways. Even though initially I thought that being heavier the bike might be harder to maneuver but the handling is much better than any other bikes I’ve driven in the city traffic and also, due to its weight, we can make turns at higher speeds as it helps maintaining the grip on the road while leaning. Also the radius of the turns is smaller even than the lighter 100cc bikes once you get used to it…

arun December 27, 2010 at 8:57 pm

:) thank u

ramesh bista February 21, 2011 at 4:18 pm

happy to know u favour the gs150r like me . but i m only 5.5 in height , enadiquate to ur requisite. that is why i cannot take sharp cornering and cannot lean so much . but in highway it is a good sprinter… free of vibration buttersmoth engine and good stability. its cons is that it seems weak in rough and upgrading roads .

BIKER December 26, 2010 at 9:11 pm

I am with Yamaha Fazer. coz it is one of the best package.
Yamaha Fazer best in 150 cc, from almost every part..!!
Hendling and so on..

the only thing is low is mileage part.
but if we see overall package then its awesome. Suppose, If one thing has 10 point and 1 point is avg+ then why to focus only low point..?

Yamaha change the level (design, style etc.) of 150cc bike in India.

Nitin December 26, 2010 at 9:54 pm

When we are searching for a 150 cc bike,it is evident that we need performance and looks too while commuting. So RTR 160 and FZ are my picks. Coming to dazzler, its a good overall package.

arun December 26, 2010 at 10:51 pm

sorry guys in the above comment i ve typed as the way it reaches 0-6kmph was typed mistakenly and forgot to check it its 0-60kmph

AnuPAM December 26, 2010 at 11:03 pm

Arun, u told very truly that GS is the best in any bike of this segment.
GS150R Rulezzzzzzzz and rocks………..
Suzuki gave us beautiful commuter…………:-)

arun December 27, 2010 at 8:53 pm

thank u buddy but if at all suzuki had launched gs150r at the time unicorns launch i am 100% sure that every one by this time would have forgotten unicorn and would have talked much about gs150r but Suzuki should start extending their service network much more aggressively gs now a days has slowly got into peoples mind and impressing them just like unicorn did while it was launched

Aditya December 27, 2010 at 12:26 am

Note to who so ever asked y no r15.
1) R15 has fuel injection. All the above bikes do not have that.
2) R15 is liquid cooled. All the above bikes do not have that.
3) R15 costs a like 1 lac plus. All the above bikes do not.
4) Only similarity is that R15 has cubic capacity of 150cc they extract more bhp coz of liquid cooling technology.
One question when Duke 125 comes would you compare it with discover 125?
Who so ever said yes to the above questions should study bikes and then read reviews and comment.

ajin December 28, 2010 at 5:21 am

R15 >> four valve
And these bike above >>> two valve

manjunath January 5, 2011 at 2:49 pm

Then what about bajaj pulsar135cc LS which is also 4>> four valve

fas December 27, 2010 at 12:51 am

I close my eyes and vote for the Yamaha Fazer

NvN December 28, 2010 at 11:12 pm

Hai fas next time you open your eyes and vote for HONDA bikes…:-P

Felix May 31, 2011 at 10:01 am

Well said… :D

Pranav Kelkar December 27, 2010 at 7:23 am

I Guess, We have a CLEAR Winner, as Expected, The Dazzler ! :)

manjunath December 27, 2010 at 8:48 am

here every body talking about the speed, acceleration , pickup ete but no one is talking about the millage . today 1 ltr petrol is costing 63.00/- +RS in Bangalore and think after 5 year it may reach 95.00/-RS
so what i mean to say is that with speed, acceleration , pickup ete we also need millage and at the same time price also should be competitive

so thats why i voted for hero honda archiver

As we cannot expect very high milage with these bikes at least the manufacturer should provide a technology were we can choose power as well as milage when ever we require. as it is available in costly bikes

arun December 27, 2010 at 8:59 pm

i think in the mean while battery running bikes may be launched producing more power with stylish designs as the world now a days are showing interest towards eco friendly products

sreekanth December 27, 2010 at 9:07 am

does the dazzler or any of the bove looks prestigious like cb unicorn ?? never!! ,they may be more pwerfull but that not enough.it must something valuable in the porch, should not be a fancy.

prasanna December 27, 2010 at 9:25 am

i am not big bike expert but what i feel is FZ,dazzler are ok of single rider when it comes to the rear seat guy FZ is not that comfortable and i also feel that dazzler is a bit short in length for a 150 cc bike but on handling i love FZ i was amazed and dazzler no idea for me at all dimensions honda unicorn is the best for single or for two peoples

Anil December 27, 2010 at 9:40 am

Unicorn Dazzler is the right choice.

RAVI CHANDALIA December 27, 2010 at 10:12 am

Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler Is The Perfect Bike In 150cc Segment.

Karthik December 27, 2010 at 10:19 am

Yamaha is better than Honda……………

Sreekumar March 8, 2011 at 2:09 pm

wat u said is right

bkvs August 3, 2011 at 3:15 pm

yamaha may be better than Honda..but some models of honda dominates some models of yamaha and vice versa….. :-)

Mintu Roy December 27, 2010 at 10:31 am

Hero Honda CBZ Extrime
Is THE Heart Of Cuntry..
I love CBZ Extrime
I Think CBZ Extrime Desingner Carete A New Virsion Byke
Deficult Looking Of Hero Hunda CBZ Extrime cc is High 180,200,225 This.

harish December 27, 2010 at 10:37 am

My choice is also dazzler. In my opinion it’s a perfect blend good in every aspect but this comes at the cost of higher price. In high city traffic conditions it is giving a mileage as good as 55-58 kmpl. Which is a very good in 15occ segment along with good pickup, style and other features.

jayaprakash December 27, 2010 at 10:46 am

i like my unicorn dazzler black.

yogesh December 27, 2010 at 11:29 am

CB Dazzler is the best. But damn it the freakking price is the best too. so, though i admire it i wont buy one. If i have to buy a 150 cc i will go for pulsar or HH CBZ Extreme

Inder December 27, 2010 at 3:49 pm

Dude, Pulsar 150cc costs 70,400 on road Delhi. Unicorn Dazzler costs 69,533 on road Delhi. CBZ Xtreme is less in price compared to both. But Pulsar and CBZ Xtreme, both are less in features when comparing with Dazzler.

You will get quality and performance for each and every single penny spent by you on the CB Unicorn Dazzler.

Grow up buddy.

Amit Kumar December 27, 2010 at 11:32 am

Hi friends,
I just want to say every machine is built keeping perfection in mind.. but practically its impossible to achieve. All machines available today in market can capable to blow your mind.. if you can ride it well..!!
But ability to make distinct choice makes us different from other around us.. choosing THE BEST BIKE would be a unjustified for others who due to any reason may lag behind in tally.. What we should try to find is that which bike SUITS US BEST.. and believe me its the toughest decision.. you make a purchase.. in start you may not be too proudy with your investment but as you get your self handy on that machine things change suddenly..

Amit Khamkar December 27, 2010 at 11:43 am

Her Honda Hunk……

ABS Rama Krishna Rao December 27, 2010 at 12:15 pm

Dazzler- dazzles out all other 150s available as of now. No question about it!

surender singh rawat December 27, 2010 at 12:33 pm

CB-Unicorn, it is the real iconic piece in the bike market which look, performance, technology. The more it is alluring to aspire and acqire the less you get a chance to have it due to huge shortage of stock.Presently it is the least available one among all new bikes.

Krishnakanth December 27, 2010 at 1:05 pm

Honda Rocks!!! However there are many problems in Dazzler, so i vote for CB unicorn.
I have seen my friend using Dazzler, who strugguled a lot with this bike.
I have also seen many others using Unicorn and praising Unicorn.
My vote ~ peoples verdict.

CBZ Extreme ~ Good bike, but no mono shock. Unicorn comes with Nissin discs, which are DAMN good. HH products ~ local discs, no much life. and most imp thing. EXTREME COSTS 3K MORE THAN UNICORN and lags when compared to HONDA in MANY SUCH RESPECTS.

So i vote for unicorn. cheaper and best.

SriGuru December 27, 2010 at 1:13 pm

Please recommend a motorcycle. I have had HH CBZ original in India, I liked the Pulsar single-spark 180-1st edition when released and then left India. I have had Suzuki 250, Hyosung 650 V-Twin and a bit of Triumph 750 single classic – all above 30 HP easily.

Which motorcycle should I like? I am thinking at least Karizma old(not FI) or Bullet single spark 500cc/350cc….am close to 6 feet and am heavy built. Hyosung 150kgs is a balanced motorcycle and I do not think that is heavy..so you know what I am looking for.

Motorcycles in India are impressive even at 180cc (e.g. TVS for features etc).

Kindly advise….

Nitin December 27, 2010 at 10:09 pm

Hi SriGuru,
After riding such powerful motorcycles, your thirst will not be satisfied by these machines. But as u stated rtr 180, u can take this bike for its raw pick up and best handling. But pls test ride as i am not sure that rtr 180 suits ur height and build. But my pick of bike for ur built is RE Classic 500 or 350. With the loads of torque available, you can enjoy the ride like u did on other motorcycles. Among RE classic 500 and 350, i prefer 350 as many mechanics in India don’t know a single bit information about classic 500′s engine and u may face service and spares problems for RE 500 in India.

madan kumar December 27, 2010 at 1:13 pm

When it comes to compare the best in class no one can refuse that the R15 is the best.

Arvind December 27, 2010 at 1:14 pm

higher top speed does not mean that its the best! Alarming to see ppl vote based on such criteria!

Karthick December 27, 2010 at 2:12 pm

Event though the best in its class is Unicorn Dazzler. Maybe the overall performance in 150 cc is good due to the quality of Honda . But personally i like FZ 16, especially the rear tyre…. and the finishing of Yamaha is good. May be mileage is a constraint but a 150 cc bike with that style and bulkness is awesome It just looks like a 1000 cc Yamaha bike.

Arunoday December 27, 2010 at 2:33 pm

honda unicorn dazzler is the best bike in the 150cc segment..an overall performer..balance between performance and effeciency..what more do u want…jack of all trades and master of one..no one can boast better engine in this segment.. :) :)

Prabakar December 27, 2010 at 2:49 pm

I ill vote for PULSAR ie real perfomer. Somebody says its outdated. But remember that pulsars are upgraded every year with latest and innovative goodies. Ex. Illuminated switches, auto canceling indicators etc are still absent in many 150s isn’t it

rbz dudez December 27, 2010 at 2:52 pm

i own a silver red fz-s it would hav been better if it was more fuel efficient but still not at all regreting myself coz i m getting everything else at its best.
Unicorn is also my choice bcoz v get everything but feel it is not 4 youngsters.
For me both r best…

Atul Agnihotri December 27, 2010 at 3:19 pm

i vote for YAMAHA FZ-S…because it looks fabulous…..awesome pickup…..great handling….Decent average………..quality…….very good finishing……great braking…….awesome road grip……..it has all things which a person like to have in a bike…..

Chetan December 27, 2010 at 3:38 pm

Feels like “Just Another Disagreement”

Prabhu December 27, 2010 at 3:52 pm

Pulsar anyday. Except when it comes to cornering.. Still the looks r best. Thing is Its not outdated but people got bored of seeing too many pulsars on d road.. When it comes to mileage it gives 50+ irrespective of riding conditions. Performance ?? A single twist of d right wrist is enough to leave everyone behind ( speaking abt 150 and below segment )..
I feel PULSAR is the complete package.. And people who own Pulsar knows it, others will keep blaming it…

ATULGOKU December 27, 2010 at 8:11 pm

I agree with Prabhu

Bhawna December 27, 2010 at 4:22 pm

This poll proves that GS is driven by Hackers

arun December 27, 2010 at 9:16 pm

no buddy its not that gs is driven by hackers many are not aware of what gs is capable of it is superior to unicorn in every aspect and this is not only my intention it is verdict of bike advice site and also other sites like vicky.in , mouth shut just google about the comparision of unicorn and gs150r u will get answers ther the reason y many are not voting for gs is cz it hasnt reached the peoples mind as unicorn but the people who test drove or maintaing gs are mightily impressed with gs 150r than unicorn dont believe me then head to the nearest suzuki showroom and ask them for a test ride

Vysakh January 3, 2011 at 10:13 pm

GS is good but its bulky and way too heavy. also on performance terms, it performs the least among the 150cc ones. Its however best suited for highways due to the 6th gear. Suzuki reliability is on par with honda and yamaha but the suzuki aftersales service sucks.

TerrorBiker December 27, 2010 at 4:48 pm

I’m little bit disappointed that the poll has been closed now!! I mean, shouldn’t it be open for atleast a week?

arun December 27, 2010 at 9:18 pm

nope buddy polling hasnt closed it closes on 31st jan

arun December 27, 2010 at 11:47 pm

oops sorry man just checked it , is has been closed but y did they do that

suresh kumar December 27, 2010 at 6:28 pm

i’m going with gs150-r.bcoz compared to others bikes in tis segment its gives better fuel efficiency, noise free engine and comfort.even at 105kmph u doesnt feel any vibration in the engine.eventhough its lags in style and initial power its seems to be winner in tis segment

Pankaj January 7, 2011 at 4:25 pm

150 cc bike and just 105 kmph

I have 125 cc bike TVS Victor GLX run for 70000 kms in 4.5 years and it gives me top speed of 115 and it also dont vibrate at that speed. Also from speed of 115 kmph my bike can move till 120 or even more but I Avoid any speed after 100 kph because no road in India is straight for atleast 10 kms.
Also my bike runs smooth till speed of 80.Victor GLX is silky smooth till 90 kmph
Also after this performance it gives me mileage of 70 kmpl on highways and 60 kmpl in city.
You were talking about performance hence I mentioned my 125 cc bike

In 150 cc however I think that Pulsar is best because in India,we must talk about only Indian bikes.
Sad to say but everyone in this forum is talking only foreign bikes like Yamaha,Honda and Suzuki
Why to go for 150 cc imported bikes when our country can produce it
If you want to go for Suzuki,Yamaha,Honda then go for big bikes of above 600 cc

sOur_wOrm1es December 27, 2010 at 6:49 pm

Fz and Fazer are both same….fazer has the front quater fairing…..rest everything is same…..even engine tuning…..so winner should be fz and fazer combined…..Fazer just ate Fz’s votes……dazzler could look much better….and what kinda gay names’ are unicorn and dazzler neways…..chEERs

Ha … How does that odd baby looking Dazzler overcome.. CBZ extreme and tough GS … I could not vote …i wud go definitely for CBZ extreme…

If it was any other bike I would ask for a comparo… but wid Dazzler… no never a comparo.. quite unsatisfactory poll out here…

sumit tandon December 27, 2010 at 7:51 pm

pulsar 150 cc

myla December 27, 2010 at 8:15 pm

Dazzler from the HONDAS as expected. Not all bikes match the like of the Dazzler, either be it, the Engine refinement, or the fuel efficiency, the reliablity, the comfort, and finally the allround package it offers, HONDA rocks in these parameters, as before, and will always.

Kushal K R December 27, 2010 at 11:24 pm

Hii Deepak!!!I’ve always been a fan of Pulsars n also own one(Pulsar 200, 2009).I love its ruggedness n touring capabilities…My vote goes to “The Male” contender amongst all……

Avijit Mustafi December 27, 2010 at 8:43 pm

I will definitely go with Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler.

vinod December 27, 2010 at 8:49 pm

fz16 and fazer shares same engine and other goodies, except the front headlight setup(visor).
even fazer has a massive sportive look than fz16, fazer is rated very low than fz16. may be the cost difference could have been considered a lot but if people can say 1,10,000 r15 as the best one then why not fazer???

Vysakh January 3, 2011 at 10:17 pm

dude, the r15 is by far, and i mean far, the most technologically advanced bike in india. It may not suit YOUR needs but it suits the requirements of people who just want performance alone. You may be using a bike as just a vehicle for your commuting needs but there are people for whom biking is a passion. the R15 is in a totally different league from the rest of the 150cc bikes in india.

Amit Kumar December 27, 2010 at 8:54 pm

M happy to see these results.. As my DUDE is winner.. n my old pal is first runner up !!
though i m not convinced with these results.. was expecting GS 150 R to make some hard competition but i guess Suzuki still lacks a lot of Marketing in our Country !!

hussain December 27, 2010 at 9:07 pm

salaam, every one and bike advise members.one imp thnk i have to say to all of u guys.tht don’t give more preferance to bikes which u have.tell the truth about power full mechines which are in compitence .frm above all of those bikes.
I first prefer to cbz xtreme atft in only its raw power and high speed handiling stebility.
In looks pulsar is the best and power also.
In milage honda unicorn beats all.
In sporty style and initial pick up’s the one and only one apache rtr (160).but lack in handiling and controlling.as it is a lilly put.rtr 160 would not be in ths catagory b’coz it is 160cc mechine.so pls don’t cheat with 150cc bikes by comparing it with them.
gs150r superb techonology frm suzuki but very very poor in looking and styling and pick up.
yamaha fz16 the waste mechine i have ever ride no pick up no comfort .but has a very good looks of street biking as it has very good broad tyres.
hunk is a good mechine with all aspects.but it lacks in its styling frm behind.so my clear vote is for one and only one mechine which ruled the youngster’s in 90′s and still it is ruling the youth frm the name of cbz xtreme atft.i love the ultimate mechine which was born on 1990 and re bounded in 2007,cbz xtreme (atft)which was frm the makers of old cbz star mechine engineers.my vote is for cbz xterme atft

kiran kumar December 28, 2010 at 4:45 pm

oh really…? look at this guy grow up hero honda boy did HH bribe u to write this how come all automobile critics choose FZ rather than RTR160,HHCBZ xtreme, pulsar or gs150R you are mentally retarded

Raminder Pal Singh December 27, 2010 at 9:09 pm

Unfortunately, the poll has been closed but it revealed good results. Friends, Yamaha has given bikers of India very good bikes (FZ-16/S, Fazer) but guys, not everybody can afford such bikes. Price of petrol is increasing day by day. I know that these bikes from Yamaha are really marvels in many fields but they are not very fuel efficient. Most of the people in India still look for a complete package bike and in that most of us keep mileage on top priority. CBZ Xtreme and Hunk are also very good bikes and they’re a complete packages. Also service network of HH is best in India as well but still CB Unicorn Dazzler is new in the streets. This bike looks different and good and mileage is good as well. So my vote goes for the Dazzler. But thats just my personal opinion. Also, majority of votes are with Dazzler. So, Dazzler wins here.

Vysakh January 3, 2011 at 10:21 pm

if mileage is such a concern, get a splendor/passion.

abhijit December 27, 2010 at 9:16 pm

honda unicorn dazzler and cb unicorn best machines to hang out with…

arun December 27, 2010 at 9:32 pm

according to me i feel like
1.Commuter segment:
hunk, gs150r , cb unicorn, yamaha szx, discover 150,hh achiever —gs150r is the
2.Performance segment
Apache rtr,yamaha fz,fazer pulsor150r,and dazzler —— apache rtr wins

Nitin December 27, 2010 at 10:17 pm

Honda Dazzler got first place in voting but on roads cbz, pulsar, apache, fz, unicorn are ruling. Honda dazzler still rules on websites but it is a way behind than its competitors on road.

kiran kumar December 27, 2010 at 10:39 pm

dude seriously u cant use dazzler on the track like FZ honda may lead with performane figure and mileage slightly but FZ has a character street fighter macho character wen considering other characters FZ outsmarts the dazzler thats what all automobile cricts say

imran December 28, 2010 at 12:23 am

My choice Apache RTR 160., as we college going student dont care about mileage and all those thing we need POWER to show off.., so apache suits best..,

vinod December 28, 2010 at 1:18 am

pulsar rulezzz the road…

Santhosh December 28, 2010 at 7:42 am

Hi all,

Santhosh December 28, 2010 at 7:53 am

Hi all,
I recently bought the new HONDA DAZZLER and proud to say that it is the best 150cc bike i have ever ridden.

1. The engine quality is far superior than any of the competitors (as expected from Honda).

2. I just Love the silky smooth Gear shifts.

3. Its looks are Good but not excellent as FZ ( i am being honest here).

4. Coming to comfort level its in its own class.

5. Good 0-60 kmph climb.

6. Road balance is excellent (with all those rear and font disk brakes, wide tires etc..)

7. Finally the DAZZLER also has MILEAGE on its side, leaving behind every other bike to eat the dust.

I am happy to see it top the list. (where it actually had to be)

So Keep dazzling riders :)

rejith December 28, 2010 at 9:49 pm

I own a unicorn (2005) and have plans to upgrade to dazzler. But a dazzler owner, whom i met said that since it was lighter, especially on rear, the stability was poor during long trips, especially in highways. I want to know your opinion on the matter.

Santhosh December 29, 2010 at 3:52 pm

the bike is very stable at all speeds

balance wise if you know to ride a 150cc bike you will have no issues

Maneuverability is superb

So my sincere opinion is GO FOR IT buddy U WONT REGRET…

Vysakh January 3, 2011 at 10:27 pm

nice to see an honest opinion from a dazzler owner.

anyways, there’s not much difference in quality between a honda and a yamaha. both of them make superb, refined and long lasting engines.

except for the pillion seat i can’t find where the dazzler is more comfortable than an FZ. the monoshocks work much better in the FZ.

handling in the city is much better in an FZ and on corners too FZ does better.

santhosh January 4, 2011 at 2:03 pm

hi vysakh,
Thats the reason why i have mentioned

“4. Coming to comfort level its in its own class.”

both yamaha and honda’s” monoshocks are simlar but not same”.

and i dont see any hinderance in handling while riding within city limits as you have mentioned.

The design is sturdy enough to endure indian roads.

By now wat i can guess is that you own a FZ, its looks are good.

Vysakh January 4, 2011 at 10:50 pm

i was judging by my experience on a dazzler (~100km) which included driving in bumper to bumper traffic, normal city conditions, highways, potholes, bumps, and off-roading too. maybe its the combination of the the monoshock and the fat tyre that i felt more comfortable on the FZ than the dazzler. No idea about the pillion seat but i’m guessing the dazzler offers better comfort to the pillion.

I didn’t find any hindrance in dazzler’s handling in the city limits either but the FZ felt easier to handle thanks to its light weight, (almost)straight handle bar and the high torque and power concentration at lower rpms. flicking through traffic was better on FZ.

and yes, I do own an FZ :D

one thing i envy about the dazzler is the gear shifts. nothing beats it. i used to think mine was really smooth (after riding pulsars and rtrs) but dazzler stunned me. and well, mileage was never really a concern (upto an extent)

bobby December 28, 2010 at 8:24 am

hero honda hunk

Gregory Menezes December 28, 2010 at 8:58 am

Unicorn Dazzler is the best bike and though i have one i have purchased unicorn dazzler which is the best .

rbz dudez December 28, 2010 at 10:30 am

i can prove fz over dazzler in d best comparo mailed me by bike advice…
If someone wanna face the truth and know whether who clearly leads among both then u can mail me @khanarbaz37@gmail.com for the comparo…

fz should have been a winner…

rbz dudez December 28, 2010 at 10:53 am

honda did a rather worst thing in graphics of dazzler.
I mean when v see twister v think its dazzler and when v see dazzler v think its twister..
Hahaha they made it 30% similar.
It wd hav been better..

sanat March 7, 2011 at 12:29 pm

its nt 30 its 70% similar,30% difference 4 engine power n rear tyre n disks…….

Kaushal Raut December 28, 2010 at 11:48 am

Unicorn Dazzler is superb but I think it is very much overprized……

Kaushal December 28, 2010 at 11:54 am

Hero Honda CBZ old model is the BEST!!!!!!

hussain December 28, 2010 at 11:14 pm

i agree with u brother.

varun December 28, 2010 at 2:52 pm

i love pulsar 150 cc dtsi let anybody say something or the other on my comment but i like and always will pulsar 150cc dtsi rokzzzzzzzzzzzz

AVS December 30, 2010 at 9:52 am

Agree with u……………..dazzler is the perfect 150 cc bike because
1) Better seating position, that is lacking in almost all the other 150cc bikes
(2) Great reliability, Honda rules in that segment
(3) Great performance( 14 hp of raw power)
(4) Great mileage stability, Honda’s trademark
(5) Ergonomic styling, suitable for drivers of almost ages; and heights; for rider and pillion

Aslam December 30, 2010 at 12:40 pm

Wish you happy new year to all

Krishnakanth December 30, 2010 at 5:08 pm

I really don’t understand, how people are posting so many comments on Dazzler.

I went to buy a new bike. i booked Karizma on 1 st of Dec and unicorn in the same week.
just wanted to pick the one which arrives early so booked both.
None of them appeared till the end of month. Finally Strugguled and bought a karizma R.

I visited almost all the HH and Honda showrooms in Hyderabad almost thrice in a week covered all the showrooms, and i couldn’t find not even a Karizma or Unicorn in the entire city of Hyderabad. where ever i went i got only one message saying that Dazzler is available. when spoke with sales men, got the hidden message that Dazzler has too many problems and no customer is ready to opt for Dazzler so honda is trying its best to get rid of all dazzlers.

Comming to the point.
i see that the unicorn, in fact which is the best of all, is under polled and Dazzler wins the competetion…..
I dont understand How???
Something is Fishy in this Poll……………….. i really doubt

Either Yamaha FZ or Unicorn or CBZ should win, how come Dazzle, Huh…………………..
If you are living In india, you have to suspect everything.

Arvind December 30, 2010 at 9:06 pm

Just because a handful of dealers ‘claim’ that a bike gives problems doesn’t make that bike bad. Just like you, I went to all Honda showrooms and got mixed feedback from the sales people. What was funny was that I got the same thing from Hero Honda guys when I went to book the new Hunk bike. Finally I disregarded all this and went with my blind craze for Honda and bought the Dazzler and its simply awesome till date. You may read a million posts, reviews and comparos but finally the only person you have to listen to is yourself.

santosh December 31, 2010 at 9:16 am

My vote for Honda CB Unicorn

vinay December 31, 2010 at 10:20 am

Krishnakanth December 31, 2010 at 10:41 am

Agreed Arvind, However, you listen to yourself. what if if you take a bike and start regretting on your choice. its better to go by user’s verdict.
as i said earlier, Honda Rocks. however, i see some(Many) of the users suffering who own a Dazzler. i mean this. so the satisfaction rate is obviously Less Durability. I hope you what what would be the cost of a Disk.
Dazzlers, gear rod is different when compared to Unicorn, in some of the bikes, this rod has a major problem, leads to gear box change, when the bike in Warranty. i heard that for around 70+ bikes in a perticular service station, they have changed this. Imagine, what would be the count in Only HYD. what would be the count in india??
No user wants to invest some 73+ K and start spending time in service station. So opt for the good vehicle, which doesnt let you down.
Anyways, I Bought a New Karizma R. Hoping that it does the best.
Happy New year.

Nitin January 3, 2011 at 8:04 am

Karizma R is great bike and if maintained well, its no problem bike.

surya December 31, 2010 at 9:54 pm

heyyyyyy honda dazzler is a great bike……………….i love to drive it,giving a milege of 60 km/l

VISHNU PRASAD.P January 1, 2011 at 8:06 pm

hero honda HUNK

thoofan January 2, 2011 at 12:58 pm

I like YAMAHA , fz is beter anather bikes

thoofan January 2, 2011 at 1:14 pm

I like YAMAHA, fz 16 is the best bike

sudarshan babu reddy January 2, 2011 at 10:04 pm

Though i have a ninja 250r purchased 3 months back, i feel a bit confused voting the best 150cc bike. but i like the TVS apache RTR 160 considering its performance on highways. looks great and torque satisfactory like mini superbike.

Vysakh January 3, 2011 at 8:55 pm

if mileage is a concern, go for a 100cc or a 125cc bike. they give more mileage than any 150cc bike.
take mileage out of the equation, and nothing beats the FZ/Fazer.

Dhaval January 18, 2011 at 6:40 pm

Honda unicorn is the best 150 CC bike according to my view.
It has comfort, great mileage, Best control and Grip also it has a very good Power.

Salam January 21, 2011 at 1:29 pm

HeroHonda CBZ Xtreme is the best bike

albin francis January 24, 2011 at 4:53 pm

i have a honda cb unicorn dazzler purchased 1 month back ,in my opinion dazzler is best in mileage(arout 50-55km/L in off roads),it s very good for long drive, comfort,&very good control, its front&rear disc brakes are very perfect (in my experiance),only one problem i faced is dazzler is not much smooth like cb unicorn,we can feel some vibrations in handle, but it has very good riding control,&dazzler have exhaust sound is much greater than unicorn, but we can feel sound only in a speed about 40-50km,if we above that speed we cant feel d sound,in highways “DAZZLER IS TOOOOO CRAZZZZYY & LIKE A PET”
consider 150cc bikes appache,pulsar,hunk,cbz,stunner……….DAZZLER is BEST…

sanat March 7, 2011 at 12:32 pm

apache,pulsar,hunk,cbz,stunner r better than DAZLER!!

sanat March 7, 2011 at 12:35 pm

Dazzler cant match pulsar’s craze,Apache’s pickup, cbz’s quality n stunner is 125cc so no comparison wid all!

Sunil February 21, 2011 at 9:14 am

Dear Friends

i am using suzuki fiero since 2000 done 110000 kms, still no problem engine is as new and mileage in city is 55 – 57, 60 – 61 on highway, and at speed above 60. my average speed of driving in is too 60.
only care what i have taken is oil change at 3000km and driven single handed.

sanat March 7, 2011 at 12:21 pm

Glad 2 knw abt it, fiero was the 1st bike that raised a bikers feeling within me when it was launched 1st tym in my place..my uncle has 1 n i enjoy riding this bike.

vignesh February 28, 2011 at 8:59 pm

I am a grt fan of bikes. i have opted to buy dazzler oly because it has covered every aspects distinctly except the looks. each and every bike in 150cc has its own merits and fan followings. but i feel dazzler has more hearts behind it. That has been revealed in the above poll result. i wondered to know that dazzler has created so much waves in the bikers mind within a short period of span.

Krishnakanth March 1, 2011 at 10:15 am

I really doubt the ones, who are posting about Honda DAZZLER.
I believe, i could see more comments on dazzler than the volume of bikes sold.
Most of them are false posts.

sanat March 7, 2011 at 12:16 pm

Every bike is unique in itself, the reason is that selection of a bike is a very tough n confusing decission..No bike is bad or poor performer,i mean while parts of few makes r of poor quality, many other facilities they provide at the same price range..
As acc to me,my likes for different bikes:
Pulsar 4 its sound,
Apache 4 its rapid pick up,RTR,
Gs150r 4 6speed gear box,
Fz group 4 Wide rear tyre,
Hondas 4 smoothness,
n lastly Hero Honda ,though come wid very less facilities at a high price range bt I LOVE IT BECAUSE I TRUST IT,i’ll nt b wrong if i’ll say all the Indain’s trust it,they may like or may nt bt they trust,am i right??
I personaly own Hero Honda Hunk though it lack a digi console, rear disk, avg tyre bt i enjoy riding it……….
so its my honest appeal to all my biker frnds never compare ur bike with others , just love ur bike, maintain it n have a fun filled ride…

anugrah March 8, 2011 at 11:24 pm

there is no such things like best.
first figure out what are your criteria and area of usage.
i have p150 and my beast is ever ready for ride no matter how long how hard.
no other bikes have satisfied me.

Aravind.G March 9, 2011 at 5:40 pm

Hai,I own a r15 no bike can stand infront of it’s performance,he rocks the road by his speed and racing style

Ananthu Rajendran March 31, 2011 at 7:10 pm

yamaha r15 is better than all these

sreekumar April 1, 2011 at 3:50 pm

nothing but only R15

rihan May 27, 2011 at 6:55 pm

yamaha fz is good in style, good in performance, good in controlling,it has good tyres than all others, its good 4 youth.

Dinesh P May 31, 2011 at 11:44 am

Hey Guys i want to know whether HUNK will meet my expectations. here are my expectations….150 class..1)better mileage arnd 50 is ok..2)comfort…3)sportive look…4)better pickup and 5)i am not a rash driver, go max 65 kmph. i feel that here everyone is giving opinion based on which bike they have and they like. but bikes can never be generalized since the expectation of everyone varies.
i want to know the HUNK mileage too… so please tell me whether HUNK would be a best option for me…???

Ashwin June 1, 2011 at 3:04 am

Road grip,

Engine sound,

Special accessories like bar end illumination , led tail lamp , indicator set , lever’s as optionals.

Build quality &

glossy Shine (if maintained well)

Everything is fabulous.

But most of our hero’s only riding it not maintaining.

The company only can give you the best , we have to keep our’s best .
Her drawbacks are dry chain which is tough to maintain on rainy season (for all dry chained bikes, it adds appearance, but not suitable for Indian roads) and
soft tyres which has short life.

bhanu June 3, 2011 at 4:22 pm

waah…! realy its a suberb comparision.. for me also the HONDA UNICORN is a softy and smooty… vehi…k…l.. and its exauat sound is simply cooool..

vishnu June 6, 2011 at 8:56 am

hii guys,
i’m planning to buy a 150cc bike. bt i’m confused. unicorn, hunk, dazzler, cbz xtream &suzuki gs150r..which is best…i need milege, engine performance, sitting comfortness, smoothness, very good handling &overall performance…i’m a fresher in bike riding, i haven’t any experience in bike riding..which is most suitable for me??? pls give me a good advice. its urgent…pls

Hi Guys……..
I am planning to buy a 150 CC bike. I have booked a honda cb unicorn. i need a mileage of 50 kmph. I need gud control and love smooth drive and i usually maintain constant speeds and very rarely i go for rash drives. Just i love to go for long drives at speeds of 75 to 90 kmph. Is my decision in booking CB unicorn is fine or else suggest me….

DS August 20, 2011 at 11:01 pm

Hi frends i’m looking for a bike with good looks , mileage n low maintenance in 150 cc .Is it better to go with CB Unicorn or CBZ(old or new)??please help me..

Kiran October 24, 2011 at 8:21 am

I ‘m considering the fzs / fazer / r15 are the best performing bikes in 150 cc catagory . ‘m buying fazer this week

nitin November 27, 2011 at 10:43 pm

hi guys,
cb unicorn is the best bike at its cost coz it has great milage abt 55-58 kmpl, smoothness, and gud pickup with nice looks.
Dazzelar having some drawbacks it dnt have kick and guard for chain which may bcome major problem.
Finally stop thinking and blindli go 4 cb unicorn….n rock.

shiva December 2, 2011 at 10:15 pm

dont praise the appache RTR 160 i hav the bike. its a dummmm . i ride my bike after 12000 kms engine head and bore r gone. and also my dad got back pain with this fucking bike so pls dont buy this ass. now i got 2 honda cb unicorn for me and my father its asome
i got mileage 56-62 kmpl. somebody compared this bike with 125cc bikes. i want to say some thing first check the power . dont check the speed bcoz he gear ratio of the gear box varies for each bike. we cant get smoothness from other bikes compare to unicorn. think about the bike performance not its speed and its look. kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

ravi December 30, 2011 at 1:47 pm

Hi frends i want o buy a bike with good looks , mileage n low maintenance in 150 cc . plz help me……….

Daksh January 12, 2012 at 9:51 pm

hey i want to buy a bike with low cost and high mileage and also stylish can you give me any opinion which bike i should select?

ratzz 28 February 22, 2012 at 5:56 pm

i think its pulsar 150.. i have pick my pulsar upto 127 km\h…. so its realy a tough bike on indian road,,,, if u need sme wheels 4 the real racing then go a head,,,,,

ammy February 22, 2012 at 5:58 pm

its pulsar 150//./.

Ruhel May 10, 2012 at 12:23 am

I ride 20,000 kms on cb unicorn. Its engine still smooth like silk, giving 55 kmpl on highway and 52 kmpl in city. When it gets 60 kmph than it gets awesom power. It truely Power of Dreams. I love it.

jayesh May 10, 2012 at 6:17 pm

According to last 10 year market response……… only Pulsar has proved its performance and have showed sustainability for all challenges.

Who uses Unicorn / Dazzler / CBZ / Suzuki GS150 ?? Answer is, officers / Executives, who drives very systematically, such that the bike works well always. If users of Pulsar (collegians and rough drivers) drives these bikes, definitely, these bikes will fail. If you see the users of Pulsar; almost all (95%) will be young collegians and others who drive and use very rough. Even if having such rough owners, Pulsar is leading and had kicked-off old CBZ from market and new CBZ / Hunk etc. are also struggling against Pulsar.

In addition to performance, durability; pulsar is best in terms of fuel efficiency and maintenance, if compared to any of these competitors.

Karthick August 26, 2012 at 10:23 am

Unicorn is the best one…

arnav October 10, 2012 at 12:18 am

I didn’t like few things with Dazzler. It could be a superb bike if it didn’t have used low-quality plastics,
made its sitting posture little sportier with lower-set handel-bars and rear-set foot-pegs
and added a kick-lever.

ahaan October 15, 2012 at 3:15 pm

guys guys,,,had seen a lot of opinions,,,but let me tell you one thing,,we should have the mind to accept good things,it comes silently,,,,talking about the SUZUKI GS150 r,,,best bike ever,,,its an underestimated bike too,,,,,,trust me its the bike that you can use in all terrains after royal enfield,,,,,,,and riding comfort is alsooo too good,,dliver a milage of 65/liter…jus think what all you need in a bike,,,
