Mahindra and Mahindra Acquires Kinetic

by Deepak on September 8, 2008

Looks like Mahindra and Mahindra won’t just sit back and watch the skyrocketing sales of Hero Honda, Bajaj and other companies. Last month they acquired 80% stake in Kinetic Motor Company Limited. Mahindra ended paying 110 crores in the deal. It will get all the company’s assets and will name the joint venture as Mahindra Kinetic.

A Taiwanese parter Sym will offer technical expertise for the company to manufacture its range of Scooters. Lets wait for some new offerings from Mahindra Kinetic. The scooter market has a great scope in modern India as the job opportunities for women is increasing.

Looks like Kinetic is going to get some stability after the exit of Honda Motors and this should see some new quality products as well as better after sales service from Mahindra Kinetic.
