Yamaha India has expanded its model line-up in the country with the introduction of the XSR155 and FZ-Rave motorcycles
Yamaha India has launched the all-new XSR155 at an introductory price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. The Japanese two-wheeler brand also rolled out the FZ-Rave at a sticker price of Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. The company stated that it has sold more than 2.75 million units of the FZ-S motorcycle in India. The official bookings for both these new models have started across Yamaha dealerships in the domestic market while the deliveries are likely to commence shortly too.

The modern retro sport bike will be available in four colour choices namely Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue. In addition, the buyers can also opt for two accessory packages in the form of Scrambler and CafĂ© Racer. Sitting on the same chassis as the MT-15, Yamaha XSR155 doesn’t have a direct rival in the Indian market due to its unique price tag.
Some of the notable design elements in the retro motorcycle are round LED headlight, teardrop fuel tank and LED tail-lamp cluster. Riding on 17-inch wheels, it gets the conventional LCD instrument cluster as standard. Built on Yamaha’s Deltabox frame, the XSR155 boasts of an aluminium swing arm, upside-down (USD) front forks and linked-type monocross rear suspension.

Yamaha XSR155 comes loaded with several premium features such as dual-channel ABS, traction control and assist and slipper clutch. At the heart, it has the 155cc liquid-cooled petrol engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) which generates max power of 18.1 bhp and highest torque of 14.2 Nm. The engine has been coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.

Flaunting a full-LED projector headlamp with integrated Position light upfront, Yamaha FZ-Rave comes with multiple unique design elements in the form of sculpted fuel tank, cosmetic air vents, and compact exhaust pipe. It is presented with a single-piece seat while the rear profile gets a sharply-designed tail-lamp cluster. The FZ-Rave can be availed in two paint shades namely Matte Titan and Metallic Black.

Tipping the weighing scale at 136 kg, Yamaha FZ-Rave has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres. The stopping power is provided by the disc units at both the ends with assistance from the single-channel ABS. Mechanically, the FZ-Rave gets the same tried-and-trusted 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with power output of 12.2 bhp, paired to a 5-speed transmission.
