Yamaha XSR155 Emerges as Top-Selling Motorcycle in Nov 2025

The XSR155 was the highest-selling Yamaha motorcycle in Nov 2025 by leaving behind the likes of FZ, R15 and MT-15.

Yamaha XSR155 was launched in Nov 2025 in the Indian market at a sticker price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, the sales data reveal that it became the top-selling Yamaha motorcycle in the first month of the launch. The neo-retro cruiser left behind well established models such as the FZ (6,478 units), R15 (4,257 units) and MT-15 (3,814) with overall sales of 16,359 units in November 2025. The XSR155 is at loggerheads with Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin 225 in the domestic market.

The Japanese brand sold a total of 58,384 units in Nov 2025 and the XSR accounted for around 28 percent of the overall sales. It was the second best-selling model in Yamaha’s portfolio after the Ray-ZR scooter. As far as bikes are concerned, the XSR155 sales at 16,359 units was higher than combined sales of other three models namely FZ, R15 and MT-15 at 14,549 units.

The XSR155, adorning a retro look, flaunts all-LED lighting setup with the headlamp, turn indicators and tail-lamp housing LED units. Some of the other notable design elements include a sculpted fuel tank, single-piece tuck and roll seat, and 17-inch alloy wheels. It is available in four colour schemes namely Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue.

The bike gets a coloured LCD display in round shape which houses the digital speedometer and tachometer. The single-pod instrument cluster also displays gear position indicator, fuel gauge and fuel consumption indicator. A few prominent features onboard the XSR155 are Smartphone Bluetooth connectivity, Call, SMS & Email alerts, Phone battery level status, Last parking location, Dual-channel ABS, Traction control system and Assist & slipper clutch.

At the heart, the XSR155 has the 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which generates max power of 18.1 bhp at 10000 rpm and peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 7500 rpm. The E20 fuel compliant petrol engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine boasts of Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) and fuel injection technology. The bike comes with tubeless tyres as standard.

The XSR155 is presented with two custom kits namely Cafe-Racer and Scrambler at price points of Rs 11,915 and Rs 12,330, respectively. The former comprises of six elements in the form of cafe headlight cowl, adjustable levers, side radiator guard, side panel cover in silver finish, dual seat assy with hump, and license plate holder while the latter gets fly screen, bar end mirrors, adjustable levers, side radiator guard, knee pad, seat cover, side number plate and license plate holder.
