Yamaha MT25 (Naked R25) Spied Sans Camouflage in Traffic

Yamaha MT25 (expected name), the naked version of the faired quarter litre Yamaha R25 has been spotted again, with clearer pictures coming in, confirming its presence. Clicked while stuck in traffic by the good folks at Iwanbanaran.com, the MT25 follows the design philosophy of its elder sibling MT 07.

The bike gets an aggressive side profile with that swooping tail, which can make any naked (motorcycle) lover drool over it. Powering the bike should be the same 249 cc two pot mill which produces 36 PS of power and 22.6 Nm on the faired sibling. We are unsure if there will be any changes to the tune on the streetfighter!

MT25 gets a rear disc brake, split seats, regular handlebars (no clip-ons), a bikini fairing and LED tail lights. The large fat rear tyre looks interestingly attractive and we can also see pointed tank extensions and those heavy duty forks.

The Europeans are soon going to get the slightly more powerful R3 (producing 42 PS of power) while we await any concrete hint of whatever, between the R3 or the R25, is coming to us, back in India!

Guess we are set for another treat by the folks from the land of tuning forks…
