VLF Tennis Price Slashed by Rs 30,000 in India

Post the reduction in price, VLF Tennis electric scooter will be retailed at price point of Rs 99,999 from the earlier 1.29 lakh.

VLF Tennis electric scooter has become cheaper by Rs 30,000 in the Indian market. With this reduction, it gets a revised pricing of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom) in the country. Now with the price coming down below Rs 1 lakh, VLF Tennis competes against the likes of Ola S1 X, Bajaj Chetak 3001, TVS Orbiter and Hero Vida VX2. The Tennis e-scooter first went on sale in Nov 2024 and within a month, it notched up over 300 bookings across the country.

VLF Tennis is available in five colour schemes namely Snowflake White, Fire Fury Dark Red, Slate Blue, Ebony Black and Slate Grey. It rides on 12-inch front and rear wheels with 110/80 and 100/80 tyres, respectively. The electric scooter has a ground clearance of 140 mm while the saddle height is pegged at 780 mm. The Tennis e-scooter tips the weighing scale at 88 kg.

The suspension duties are performed by telescopic front forks and hydraulic monoshock rear absorber with progressive cantilever. Some of the notable features onboard the electric scooter are LED headlamp, front and rear disc brakes, aluminium swingarm, keyless ignition, Mobile charging port, and 5-inch coloured TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. There are three ride modes on offer namely Eco, City, and Sport.

Powered by a detachable LMFP battery pack of 2.6 kWh, it returns IDC range of 85 km, 110 km and 130 km in Sport, City and Eco modes, respectively. The top speed is also different in each ride mode. It clocks 35 kmph, 51 kmph and 65 kmph in Eco, City, and Sport modes. The Tennis e-scooter boasts of a BLDC hub motor which generates max torque of 150 Nm.

VLF Tennis is locally assembled at the Kohlapur-based factory of KAW Veloce Motors. The parent company VLF is owned by Alessandro Tartarini, the son of Italy-based businessman Leopoldo Tartarini. The manufacturing of VLF electric scooters is handled by Taizhou Velocifero Vehicle Co. Ltd, which is headquartered in Zhejiang, China.

VLF Tennis is available with a 720W charger which takes nearly three hours to fully charge it. It is not exactly known whether the 88 kg of kerb weight includes the battery or not. The Tennis e-scooter is retailed through MotoHaus dealerships in 7 Indian cities namely New Delhi, Sangli, Bengaluru, Kolhapur, Goa, Ahmedabad, and Pune.
