TVS has filed the design patent for the new entry-level electric scooter, positioned below the iQube, in Indonesia.
We earlier told you that TVS Motor Company is working on a new entry-level electric scooter for the Indian market. Now, the upcoming TVS electric scooter has been leaked online ahead of its official launch, slated around Oct-Nov 2025 in India. The company had filed a patent for the same in Indonesia, hinting that it will be a global model which will not only be sold in India but also in several other Asian markets. A couple of days back, Sudarshan Venu, MD of TVS, had confirmed that a new affordable electric scooter and an improved version of the iQube are in the pipeline.
The leaked design patent reveals horizontally stacked LED DRLs and LED turn indicators, as we have seen in the iQube. Though the LED units are rather sleek as compared to the iQube. The headlamp has been positioned on the handlebar shroud. The e-scooter also flaunts a tall windscreen. It also boasts of an LED tail lamp cluster and a split grab rail at the rear.

The side body panels also have a sleek appearance while the floorboard is quite flat. We can also see a tiny glove box with a USB charging port in the front apron. The front wheel looks bigger than the rear wheel in the leaked patent images. TVS might opt for a 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel setup. The suspension looks quite traditional as well with telescopic front forks and dual shock rear absorbers.
The new e-scooter will be offered with a mid-mounted motor as suggested by the leaked images. Though other technical details are not not known yet, we expect it to carry a 2.2 kWh battery pack which we have seen in the base variants of the iQube range. The range and top speed will also be less than the iQube while it could miss out on a few premium features.

Several leading two-wheeler brands such as Bajaj, Hero and Ather are also working on new budget-friendly electric scooters, which will go on sale in the coming few months. All of these upcoming electric scooters will be priced under Rs 1 lakh to cater to the first-time EV buyers such as students, gig workers and office goers.
TVS is also working on a host of other new models which will be launched soon in the Indian market. The company will foray into the middleweight adventure segment of motorcycles with the RTX 300. It is also expected to introduce a supermoto version of the RTX by early 2026. In addition, the iQube facelift will also go on sale in the coming months with several updates.
