Hero MotoCorp will launch several new bikes in the next 4-6 months in the Indian market, including the return of Mavrick 440
Hero MotoCorp is ready to set the ball rolling with the launch of multiple new motorcycles in the coming 4-6 months in the Indian market. The company has been ruling the roost in the two-wheeler segment for the last so many years in the domestic market. In the next few months, we will get to see an array of new motorcycle models from the brand in various segments. In this piece, we will detail the upcoming Hero bikes in India with respect to their design, features, performance and expected price.
1. 2025 Hero Mavrick 440
Earlier this year in Aug, Hero silently discontinued the Mavrick 440 from the Indian market due to poor sales numbers. Even today, a few company dealers with unsold stock are offering hefty cash discounts and other benefits on the purchase of the roadster bike. However, recently the 2025 Hero Mavrick 440 was spotted for the first time in flesh with cosmetic enhancements and advanced features.
The spied model resembled the Mavrick 440 showcased at the EICMA 2024. It was equipped with golden USD front forks in place of the conventional telescopic units. The black colour of the engine casing was replaced by bronze/copper shade. Though it couldn’t be confirmed whether the 2025 Hero Mavrick will get the TFT display from the Harley-Davidson X440 as the model unveiled in Milan last year was packed with the same instrument console.

At the heart, it is likely to be powered by the same 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled petrol engine which generates max power of 27 bhp and highest torque of 36 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox while some of the notable features expected onboard are 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-channel ABS and dual disc brakes. The phased out model was priced between Rs 1.99-2.24 lakh (ex-showroom) and the upcoming Hero Mavrick 440 could be introduced in the similar price range.
2. 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R
It was showcased to company dealers in a private event last month in India. Besides an all-new paint scheme, the 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R houses cruise control as standard feature. Just so you know, the Jaipur-based two-wheeler brand debuted cruise control with the Glamour X 125 just a few months back. Some of the other noteworthy inclusions in the new version are bar-end mirrors, taller handlebar, new coloured LCD screen, bluetooth connectivity and navigation.

The 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R borrows a lot of elements from the Xtreme 250R and Glamour X 125. Mechanically, it will be continued with the 124.7cc single-cylinder engine which makes top power of 11.4 bhp and peak torque of 10.5 Nm while linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Hero Xtreme 125R is positioned against the likes of Honda CB125 Hornet and TVS Raider in the Indian market.
