Aimed squarely at Ola Roadster series, Ultraviolette Shockwave gets an IDC range of 165 km on a full charge
Ultraviolette has launched the Shockwave electric motorcycle in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh for the first 1000 customers, it can be booked by paying a nominal amount of Rs 999/- with deliveries slated to begin by early 2026. Ultraviolette Shockwave will directly rival Ola Roadster series in the domestic market. The Bengaluru-based EV startup has claimed that the Shockwave offers the thrill of the vintage ‘2-stroke’ motorcycling era. The company also launched its first-ever electric scooter in the form of the Tesseract alongside the Shockwave electric motorcycle.
The Shockwave e-motorcycle will be available in two paint options namely Cosmic Black and Frost White. It rides on 19-inch spoked front wheel with section 90/90 tyre and 17-inch spoked rear wheel with section 110/90 tyre as standard. The suspension duties are performed by USD forks at front and a monoshock unit at the rear.

The Shockwave is packed with a 3.5 kWh battery pack which returns an IDC range of 165 km on a full charge. It has a peak power of 14.5 bhp and highest torque of 505 Nm at the rear wheel. The electric bike does a 0-60 kmph sprint in just 2.9 seconds. As for the braking, it boasts of disc units at both the ends as standard fitment.
Ultraviolette currently has a presence in 13+ cities in the Indian market. However, it aims to expand its dealership network to around 50 cities by FY 2026. In addition, the company is also focusing on exporting its products to multiple global markets in Europe such as Germany, Spain, UK, Portugal, and France.
