Ultraviolette F77 Gets Gen3 Powertrain Firmware with Ballistic+

The Gen3 Powertrain Firmware with Ballistic+ enhances the overall performance and ride experience of the F77 significantly.

Ultraviolette, the Bengaluru-based EV startup, has introduced the Gen3 Powertrain Firmware with Ballistic+ for all the F77 variants in the Indian market. It will be made available to all the existing owners of the F77 high-performance electric motorcycle at no additional cost. The brand claims that the Gen3 powertrain firmware with Ballistic+ delivers “sharper, quicker and even more ballistic riding experience through a surge of initial power”. Ultraviolette has developed the new firmware from the insights of more than 8 million km of ride data.

Last year, Ultraviolette had rolled out the F77 Mach 2 with multiple advanced safety features in the form of Traction Control, Dynamic Stability Control (UVDSC), 10 levels of Regenerative Braking, Hill-Hold Assist, and Violette A.I. among others. It has almost been a year and the company has come up with the next phase of evolution with the Gen3 Powertrain Firmware.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette, stated “For decades, vehicles, gadgets, and consumer electronics have followed a familiar trajectory where they start strong, but degrade over time. While others may practice planned obsolescence, we believe in the opposite paradigm where technology evolves and gets better with time. At Ultraviolette, we envision how a machine could learn from you, evolve with you, and unlock more power the longer you own it.”

The Ballistic+ has been developed through Violette A.I.which is Ultraviolette’s connected intelligence system offered with F77 motorcycles. For the unversed, it collects and analyses the real-world riding data in terms of riding patterns, throttle inputs, diverse ride scenarios and more. Furthermore, Ballistic+ is backwards-compatible too.

“At the heart of every F77 is our Vehicle Control Unit, a powerful onboard intelligence system that captures over 3,000 data points in real time. These are continuously analysed by Violette A.I., which interprets, learns and evolves to optimize performance and deliver smarter, more responsive system updates. Through this seamless integration of advanced hardware and intelligence, we uncovered new possibilities to extract even greater performance from the battery and drivetrain systems. Our architecture proved its capability through rigorous fine-tuning, from the VCU to the motor and motor controller, ultimately resulting in our new Gen3 Powertrain Firmware,” said Niraj Rajmohan, CTO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette.

Earlier this year, Ultraviolette unveiled two of its mass-market electric models in the form of Tesseract e-scooter and Shockwave e-motorcycle. The deliveries of both these EVs is likely to start from early 2026 while bookings began at a token payment of Rs 999/- in the country. Within just 2 weeks of unveiling, Ultraviolette Tesseract, in particular, touched the 50k bookings milestone.
