November 2024 was really good for two-wheeler brands as they recorded double digit growth in MoM, YoY and YTD domestic sales
Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the November 2024 sales data for two-wheelers in the Indian market. The data reveals that the two-wheeler segment registered exceptional sales growth of 26.67 percent in Nov 2024 with 26,15,953 units retailed as compared to 20,65,095 units sold in Oct 2024. The data further showed a YoY sales growth of 15.80 percent with 22,58,970 units in November 2023. As far as year-to-date (Y2D) sales is concerned, the two-wheeler segment witnessed a rise of 14.04 percent with 1,32,59,744 units sold till now in FY25.
Going into brand-wise data, Hero MotoCorp retained the numero-uno position in November 2024 with a total of 9,15,468 units. Just so you know, the sales figures in Nov 2023 stood at 8,04,498 units. The Jaipur-based two-wheeler brand had a healthy market share of 35 percent in Nov 2024. The second spot was occupied by Honda with sales of 6,54,564 units in Nov 2024 and market share of 25.02 percent.

TVS Motor Company grabbed the third position with market share of 16.09 percent in Nov 2024. The company improved its sales performance from Nov 2023 when it had only managed to sell 3,66,896 units as compared to 4,20,990 units last month. The 2025 Ronin has just been unveiled at the MotoSoul 2024 in Goa and prices will be announced soon to take on the Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
Bajaj Auto followed closely with sales of 3,04,221 units in Nov 2024. It had a market share of 11.63 percent in the Indian market. The Pune-based two-wheeler brand is ready to launch the new-gen Chetak EV on Dec 20 in India which will further boost its sales performance in the domestic market. The next in line were Royal Enfield and Suzuki with sales volume of 93,530 units and 91,972 units, respectively, in Nov 2024. Yamaha had a decent time last month with sales of 68,266 units and market share of 2.61 percent.
Coming to the EV brands, Ola Electric sold 29,204 units in Nov 2024 with a share of 1.12 percent in the two-wheeler segment. The sales figures in Nov 2024 were slightly better at 30,073 units. Ather Energy sales grew to 12,760 units in Nov 2024 from 9,342 units in Nov 2023 along with a market share of 0.49 percent in the two-wheeler segment.
Last but not the least, Classic Legends which comprises of Jawa, Yezdi and BSA Motorcycle brands, retailed 4,148 units in Nov 2024 with a market share of 0.16 percent. Overall, November 2024 was one of the best months for two-wheeler brands in terms of sales as almost every brand witnessed rise in numbers and footfall too increased at the dealerships.
