TVS Again Says – New Victor & K03 Coming This Year

TVS is silently but surely making inroads into the market. A few months back they displaced Bajaj for the third spot in domestic two-wheeler sales and recently launched their 2015 Phoenix in the mass market segment. They further say that they are planning to launch two new products this year. This would include the commuter TVS Victor and a high powered performance bike which is expected to be the first BMW-TVS collaboration product.

The Victor has been in talks for quite some time now and a new commuter motorcycle, especially of the brand recall that the Victor had, should definitely help the company rake up more sales volumes. The exact capacity of the new Victor is not known whether it will be in the 100-110 cc space or will it play in the 125cc segment.

Their more niche product, codenamed K03, will be sold around the world as a part of the original agreement signed by the two companies. Speaking to Economic Times, Mr Venu Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director of TVS Motor revealed that the TVS BMW product is set to be unveiled in the second half of 2015.

That puts the launch somewhere around the festive season which will help TVS gain the initial traction. The bike is expected to be displacing about 300cc and going by the spy pics shot till now, will be a naked streetfighter. Speculations are rife that there will be an Adventure version on the cards as well.

Bajaj is also on a product carnage launching new motorcycles every other day. Will TVS hold on to its position or is it time Bajaj gets back its share…?
