The electric two-wheeler sales grew by more than double (110%) on a YoY basis as the company sold 65,799 units in September 2026
TVS Motor Company registered total sales (two-wheeler + three-wheeler) of over 6.72 lakh units in September 2026 with a YoY growth of 24 percent. The homegrown automaker had retailed around 5.41 lakh units during the same month last year. The two-wheeler division posted YoY growth of 23 percent last month as 645,955 units were sold against 541,064 units in September 2025. The EV sales witnessed a sensational YoY surge by 110 percent with 65,799 units being sold in September 2026 as compared to 31,266 units in September 2025.
As far as domestic market is concerned, TVS retailed 482,073 units in September 2026 against 413,279 units during the same month last year with a YoY growth of 17 percent. The overall export business grew by 48 percent as volumes increased to 180,700 units in September 2026 against 122,108 units in September 2025. The company shipped 163,882 two-wheelers last month from India as compared to 110,644 units in September 2025 at a YoY growth rate of 48 percent.
The brand also released the sales figures for the second quarter of the FY 2026-27. The overall volumes stood at 1.9 million in Q2 FY27 (July-September) which includes both two-wheelers and three-wheelers. The two-wheeler business posted 27 percent YoY growth as volumes touched 1.8 million units in the second quarter of FY 2026-27 against 1.5 million units in the second quarter of FY 2025-26.

The three-wheeler business recorded a YoY growth of 57 percent in September 2026 as 26,835 units were sold during the month against 17,141 units in September 2025. In Q2 FY27, the three-wheelers posted YoY growth of 47 percent with sales of 78,475 units as compared to 53,449 units in Q2 FY26. The international business also grew from 0.4 million units in Q2 FY26 to 0.5 million units in Q2 FY27.
TVS recently launched the 2026 Ronin in a price range of Rs 1.42-1.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. While introducing a new ‘Base’ variant, the brand updated the mid and top grades with modern features and new paint shades. Ahead of the Diwali festive season, this was a major upgrade for the retro motorcycle as it rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220.

The brand also introduced the 2026 Apache range of motorcycles last month in the Indian market. The 2026 TVS Apache RTR 160 and 160 4V received new range-topping variants with multiple modern features at price points of Rs 1.28 lakh and Rs 1.41 lakh, respectively. Last but not the least, the 2026 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V was updated with a new top-of-the-line grade at Rs 1.50 lakh. All the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom, Delhi.
