TVS RTX 300 has finally gone on sale in the Indian market against the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX and Yezdi Adventure
TVS Motor Company has launched the RTX 300, its first-ever adventure motorcycle, in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), it has been introduced in five colour schemes namely Viper Green, Tarn Bronze, Metallic Blue, Lightning Black and Pearl White.
The RTX 300 has a ground clearance of 200 mm while it rides on adventure-oriented tyres. Flaunting a rally-inspired design, it flaunts twin LED headlamp setup. Some of the notable features onboard the ADV motorcycle are ride-by-wire throttle, 5-inch TFT cluster, tyre pressure monitoring system, dynamic headlamp control, 41mm USD front forks, switchable rear ABS and traction control.
TVS RTX 300 comes with four ride modes namely Rally, Tour, Urban and Rain. The adventure bike also gets first-in-segment cruise control feature as standard. The Bluetooth conectivity via TVS SmartXonnect app offers access to map mirroring and GoPro control. The first adventure bike from TVS sits on a steel trellis frame while it has been equipped with a aluminium die cast swingarm.
The RTX 300 is powered by the brand’s first-ever self-developed 299.1cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled RT-XD4 petrol engine which generates top power of 35.5 bhp at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 28.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. This engine was unveiled at the MotoSoul 2024 in December in Goa. This engine is linked to 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter and assist & slipper clutch.
Speaking at the launch, Gaurav Gupta, President – 2W India Business, “At TVS Motor Company, we are constantly understanding evolving customer needs – not just to participate in them, but to redefine. We are frontrunners in many industry-first innovations. Our endeavour is to bring aspiration within reach and inspire new riders. We expect the TVS Apache RTX to continue this winning streak and bring renewed spirit and new energy to the adventure rally tourer segment.”
The RTX 300 is claimed to be touring-ready with a GIVI top box and side panniers, which are equipped with monolock and quick-release systems.
