TVS RTX 300 India Launch on Oct 15: What to Expect

TVS RTX 300 will be the first-ever adventure motorcycle from the home-grown two-wheeler brand in the Indian market

TVS Motor Company is all set to launch its first adventure motorcycle in the Indian market. The bike in question here, the RTX 300, will officially debut on Oct 15, 2025. Though, it was briefly displayed at the TVS pavilion at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo when PM Narendra Modi paid a visit but later it was removed from the event for general public. It will finally break cover in Shimla two days later as it clashes with other two heavyweights in the segment namely KTM 250 Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX.

TVS RTX 300 Design

Going by the leaked images at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, TVS RTX 300 appears to be an adventure tourer built for long journeys rather than a typical off-roader. Featuring a bolt-on-rear subframe, it comes with aggressive styling elements in the form of long front windscreen, twin LED headlamp setup, split-seat and upswept exhaust pipe among others.

Though it is not on official records, it is claimed that TVS RTX 300 will ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The brand has offered golden coloured USD front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear. The ADV bike gets split grab rails and exposed frame at the rear as overall profile at the back is quite sleek. It is also likely to boast of panickers for luggage mounting as an optional accessory.

TVS RTX 300 Features

The RTX 300 is expected to come loaded with a plethora of premium features such as multiple ride modes, all-LED lighting setup (headlamp, turn indicators, and tail-lamp), switchable dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, traction control system, hazard switch, and quickshifter. The adventure motorcycle will also be packed with an all-digital instrument cluster with several connected features through the TVS SmartXonnect app via Bluetooth.

TVS RTX 300 Engine

The RTX 300 will debut the brand’s first-ever self-developed 299cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled RT-XD4 petrol engine which generates top power of 35 bhp at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 28.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. This engine was unveiled at the MotoSoul 2024 in December in Goa. The RTX 300 will be equipped with this engine and 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.

TVS RTX 300 Launch Date

While the RTX 300 will debut on Oct 15, 2025 in the domestic market, we believe the sales of the motorcycle to start post the Diwali festive season. As of now, the demo units have not reached the dealerships, and it might take some time before we spot the RTX 300 on the Indian roads. However, the official bookings for the upcoming adventure motorcycle might start a couple of days later when it is unveiled to the media in Shimla.
