The two-wheeler division posted YoY growth of 31 percent with sales of 5.43 lakh units as it outnumbered Honda to become the second biggest brand in India
TVS Motor Company has registered the highest-ever monthly sales of 5.67 lakh units in May 2026, which also includes the three-wheeler business. The retail volumes grew by 31 percent on a YoY basis as the company had sold 4.31 lakh units during the same month last year. TVS also achieved its highest-ever EV sales as close to 44k units were retailed last month. The export business also recorded the best-ever sales with 1.76 lakh made-in-India scooter and motorcycles being shipped to various global markets from the brand’s Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu.
TVS Two-Wheeler Sales May 2026
The overall two-wheeler sales in May 2026 stood at 5.43 lakh units as compared to 4.16 lakh units during the same period last year with a YoY growth of 31 percent. In the domestic market, TVS sold more than 3.84 lakh units in May 2026 with a YoY growth of 24 percent while 3.09 lakh units were retailed in May 2025. It overtook Honda to become the second largest two-wheeler brand in India.
As far as motorcycles are concerned, the sales increased from 211,505 units in May 2025 to 273,802 units in May 2026 with a YoY growth of 30 percent. The scooter division also witnessed a growth of 32% with sales increasing from 166,749 units in May 2025 to 220,740 units in May 2026.

TVS EV Sales May 2026
The electric vehicle sales touched an all-time high of 43,632 units in May 2026 as compared to 27,976 units in May 2025 with a YoY growth of 56 percent. The company has been ruling the electric two-wheeler segment for the last several months with the iQube and Orbiter. While the iQube is priced in excess of Rs 1 lakh with higher range, the Orbiter is a budget-friendly electric scooter with prices below Rs 1 lakh.
TVS Export Business May 2026
The overall export business (two-wheeler + three-wheeler) posted YoY growth of 49 percent as sales increased from 118,437 units in May 2025 to 175,991 units in May 2026. In particular, the two-wheeler exports reported a resounding YoY growth of 48 percent with retail volumes increasing from 106,879 units in May 2025 to 158,546 units in May 2026.
TVS Three-Wheeler Sales May 2026
The three-wheelers registered a YoY growth of 55 percent with sales increasing from 15,109 units in May 2025 to 23,474 units in May 2026. TVS E3W concept was presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Hyundai Motor will lead the design of and co-develop the E3W by leveraging its research and development expertise, advanced mobility technologies and human-centric design approach. TVS will lead local sales, with its manufacturing operations in India catering to Indian market demand and future exports.
