TVS Orbiter V1 Launch Price Rs 49,999 in India, 86 Km Range

The V1 is the highly affordable version in the Orbiter e-scooter range which went on sale in Aug 2025 in V2 trim at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru)

TVS Motor Company has launched the Oribter V1 electric scooter at a price point of Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom Delhi, inclusive of PM e-Drive). The aforementioned price is applicable on BaaS model while without it, TVS Orbiter V1 will cost Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom Delhi, inclusive of PM e-Drive). It is powered by a 1.8 kWh battery pack with an IDC range of 86 km on a full charge with rivals like Hero Vida VX2 and Bajaj Chetak C25. TVS Orbiter V2 was launched in Aug 2025 with a 3.1 kWh battery pack and 158 km range at a sticker price of Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

The introduction of Battery-As-A-Service (BaaS) model reduces the upfront pricing of the Orbiter V1 by around Rs 34,500. The electric scooter will take approx 2 hours and 20 minutes for a 0-80 percent charge. Some of the notable features onboard the e-scooter are LED headlamp with visor, coloured LCD cluster, incoming call display, and a connected mobile app.

Alongside this, the introduction of BaaS represents an important shift in customers’ approach to EV ownership. By separating the vehicle price from the battery usage cost, we are enabling greater flexibility while providing customers a clear understanding of the overall cost of ownership.”

The Orbiter V1 comes with a 845 mm long flat-form seat and 290 mm straight-line footboard. It boasts of a wide and upright handlebar while the under-seat storage capacity stands at 34 litres. The connected riding experience offers alerts for Crash, Fall, and Theft. In addition, the riders can set geo-fencing and time-fencing notifications.

The riders can also check battery charge and odometer through the connected mobile app. Despite being an entry-level electric scooter, TVS Orbiter V1 gets an array of bells and whistles in the form of Turn-by-turn navigation, SMS alerts, Hill Hold Assist, Cruise Control, Parking Assist, OTA updates, Ride modes (Eco and Power), and Regen braking.

As part of BaaS model, TVS Orbiter V1 will be available with flexi-payment plans, starting as low as Rs 862 per month. The Battery-As-A-Service scheme also includes extended warranty of up to 5 yrs / 70,000 km. Unlike many other BaaS plans by other brands, TVS is offering unlimited monthly usage throughout the BaaS tenure of choice.
