TVS Ntorq 150 India Launch on September 2 , Details Inside

TVS Ntorq 150 will be the brand’s biggest-ever ICE scooter which will rival Hero Xoom 160, Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia 160 in the Indian market.

TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of Ntorq 150 on Sep 2, 2025 in the Indian market. Needless to state, it will be the biggest ICE-powered scooter in TVS portfolio while posing a direct threat to the likes of Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155. The Hosur-based two-wheeler brand introduced the Ntorq 125 in 2018 and it regularly features in the list of highest-selling scooter models in the domestic market. Interestingly, the company doesn’t have a liquid-cooled petrol engine under 300cc and hence TVS Ntorq 150 is likely to come with an air-cooled 150cc powerplant.

The official invite from TVS comes with a caption which reads, “Feel The Thrill Like Never Before” while showcasing the split LED headlamp setup with a ‘T’ shaped DRL in the centre. The launch will take place at the TVS factory in Hosur. The new Ntorq 150 could get 14-inch alloy wheels as standard, akin to its rivals from Yamaha and Hero. The overall styling will take cues from the 125cc model.

We can expect at least a single-channel ABS in the upcoming TVS scooter due to the stringent government regulations. TVS is expected to offer multiple premium features with the Ntorq 150 so that it can withstand competition. The air-cooled engine will prove to be cost-effective as compared to a liquid-cooled engine and hence help TVS to price the scooter aggressively around the Rs 1.50 lakh ballpark. Just so you know, the performance of the air-cooled mills is slightly lower than liquid-cooled powertrains.

Though a few media reports also indicate that TVS could develop an all-new 150cc liquid-cooled engine for the Ntorq 150. However, nothing is concrete as of now and official details are expected to be out closer to the launch. Since the scooter is slated to launch in the first week of Sep, the deliveries could start in the next few days across the country.

The news of TVS developing a 150cc version of the Ntorq scooter first broke out earlier this year in May. It was widely reported that the Ntorq 150 is being readied for a festive season launch. However, it appears that TVS has preponed the launch by a month or so to focus on other premium models during Diwali. We could witness the RTX 300 going on sale in the Indian market around Diwali.

TVS will apparently also introduce a budget-friendly electric scooter in the sub Rs 1 lakh price segment. To be based on the iQube, it will borrow the 2.2 kWh battery pack and electric motor from the iQube while missing out on most of the premium features. The range could be around 80 km on a full charge. So, the next few months are going to be pretty exciting for the auto enthusiasts.
