TVS Motors recorded 31% sales growth in the month of September 2010 compared to September 2009. The company recorded 30% sales growth for two wheeler segment in the month of September 2010 on year on year basis.
The company sold 1,84,783 units in September 2010 compared to 1,42,553 units in September 2009.The September figure also up 10.57% month on month basis. The company sold 1,67,109 units in August 2010. Cumulative total sales in the two wheeler segment for the period of April to September 2010 stood at 9,71,039 units up 32% compared to 7,37,480 units in the last year same period.
Domestic Sales stood at 1,65,418 units in the month of September 2010 up 25% compared to 1,32,281 units in the month of September 2009. Scooter segment grew at 44%. The company sold 43,086 units in September 2010 compared to 29,984 units in September 2009. Motorcycle segment grew at 34%. The company sold 81,318 units in September 2010 compared to 60,718 units in September 2009.
The company has recorded export of 19,365 units up massive 89% compared to 10,272 units. TVS said the major growth is coming from export and its newly launched Jive and Wego scooter
