TVS iQube S 4.7 kWh Launch Price Rs 1.37 Lakh, 175 Km Range

The existing S grade with 3.5 kWh battery and 145 km range has been updated with a bigger 4.7 kWh battery pack and longer range of 175 km

TVS Motor Company has launched the iQube S 4.7 kWh at a sticker price of Rs 1.37 lakh (effective ex-showroom Delhi, inclusive of central and state subsidy) in the Indian market. The company has upgraded the S trim with a bigger and more powerful 4.7 kWh battery pack as it replaces the existing 3.5 kWh battery. This has resulted in a range enhancement as the iQube S 3.5 kWh used to deliver IDC range of 145 km, but the iQube S 4.7 kWh will return an IDC-certified range of 175 km. TVS iQube S 4.7 kWh is nearly Rs 19,000 more expensive than its preceding model, which was priced at Rs 1.18 lakh.

The iQube is India’s highest-selling electric scooter with more than 9 lakh units sold till date in the country. The iQube S 4.7 kWh, apart from the existing Titanium Grey Matte paint scheme, will also be available in two fresh colourways namely Magnificence Purple Beige and Harlequin Blue Beige. Currently, it is available in over 1,000 cities and 3,300 dealerships across India.

Some of the notable features onboard the iQube S 4.7 kWh are Pillion backrest, Dual-tone seat, 32L underseat storage capacity, Beige inner panels, USB charging port and 7-inch TFT display with Incoming call and SMS alerts. A special mention goes to the 118+ connected features which include Voice assist with Alexa skillset, Turn-by-turn navigation, Distance to empty, and Remote charging status.

Riding on 12-inch front and rear wheels, TVS iQube S 4.7 kWh is shod with 90/90 section tubeless tyres. The 4.7 kWh battery pack is linked to a hub mounted electric motor which generates max power of 5.9 bhp and peak torque of 140 Nm. The electric motor has IP67 certification which ensures resistance against water and dust. TVS has also offered regen braking in the e-scooter. Available with a portable charger, it takes nearly 4 hours for a 0-80 percent charge.

The iQube S 4.3 kWh has a top speed of 82 kmph while it does the 0-40 kmph sprint in only 4.3 secs. Tipping the scale at 128.8 kg, it comes with a ground clearance of 157 mm while the saddle height stands at 770 mm. Sitting on a tubular frame, it gets telescopic front forks and adjustable hydraulic dual-shock rear absorbers. The stopping power comes from 220 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum units.

Apart from the S variant, the iQube is available Standard and ST trims. The Standard version is offered with three battery pack options of 2.2 kWh (Rs 94,434), 3.1 kWh (Rs 1 lakh) and 3.5 kWh (Rs 1.09 lakh) and subsequent IDC range of 94 km, 123 km, and 145 km, respectively. The range-topping iQube ST comes with a 5.3 kWh battery and 212 km IDC range at a sticker price of Rs 1.59 lakh.
