Limited to only 750 units worldwide, the Speed Twin 1200 TFC is presented in an exclusive colour scheme with multiple cosmetic enhancements
Triumph India has silently launched the Speed Twin 1200 TFC at a sticker price of Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Limited to merely 750 units globally, it is the fifth motorcycle from the British brand to flaunt the Triumph Factory Custom badge. Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC had its world premiere just a couple of days back and within no time, it has headed to the Indian shores. However, there is still no clarity from the company regarding the numbers of units allocated for our market.
Some of the additional equipment onboard the Speed Twin 1200 TFC are Öhlins suspension, Brembo Stylema calipers and Akrapovič exhaust pipe with carbon-fibre end caps. The most prominent updates have been received by the chassis as the limited edition gets clip-on handlebars, machined aluminium top yoke and rearset footpegs to offer a committed riding position. It is around 2 kg lighter in weight than the stock bike as it tips the scale at 214 kg.
The Öhlins suspension setup comprises of USD front forks and dual rear shock absorbers. The stopping power comes from the Brembo Stylema M4.30 front brake caliper. In addition, the Speed Twin 1200 TFC is equipped with a Brembo MCS adjustable front brake lever. The modern features from the standard version have been retained in the form of a bidirectional quickshifter, ride modes, cornering ABS and traction control.

The visual appeal of the Speed Twin 1200 TFC is further accentuated by the exclusive Obsidian Gold colour option which uses metallic black as basic body colour while detailing is carried out in gold metallic. The limited edition model boasts of carbon fibre treatment at the mudguards, side panels and heel plates. A special mention goes to the hand-stitched single-piece seat.
At the heart, Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC houses the same 1200 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine as the Speed Twin 1200 RS. This engine generates max power of 103.5 bhp at 7750 rpm and peak torque of 112 Nm at 4250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission while the riders can engage in lightning‑fast clutchless gear changes by using the Triumph Shift Assist.

Sitting on a tubular steel frame, Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC rides on 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels with 120/70 section front and 160/60 section rear tyres. It also features a LCD multi-function instrument cluster with integrated colour TFT screen as standard. The saddle height is pegged at 810 mm while the limited edition has fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres.
