Ahead of the Diwali festive season, the Speed 400 and Tracker 400 witness a reduction in price by Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000, respectively
Triumph India has slashed the prices of the Speed 400 and Tracker 400 by Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000, respectively, in the country. However, the pricing of all the other models in 400 range has remain unchanged, which include the likes of Thruxton 400, Scrambler 400X/XC and Speed T4. Triumph Speed 400 will now be available at a retail price of Rs 2.34 lakh as compared to previous pricing of Rs 2.40 lakh while Triumph Tracker 400 will be on sale at a sticker price of Rs 2.42 lakh against its existing pricing of Rs 2.49 lakh. All the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom.
The India-spec Speed 400 is powered by a 350cc single-cylinder engine which develops top power of 36.5 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 32 Nm at 7000 rpm. This newly developed powertrain was introduced in Apr 2026 as earlier the bike was powered by a 398cc single-cylinder engine which generates 39.5 bhp at 8000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6500 rpm.
The power and torque have gone down by 3 bhp and 5.5 Nm, respectively, for the India-bound version of the bike due to the downsized engine. The Speed 400 was the first motorcycle launched by the company in its 400 portfolio of bikes, which now has a total of six motorcycles. It is locally developed by Bajaj for the British brand at its Pune factory as India serves as the global export hub for the roadster.
On the other hand, Triumph Tracker 400 is the latest model in the company’s 400 line-up of motorcycles as it went on sale in Apr 2026. It had its world premiere last year in December in the UK. The Tracker 400 gets flat and wide handlebars and repositioned footpegs, which are supported by a dedicated chassis for sharper handling. The number ‘400’ on the side body panels is a rich homage to the legendary flat track racers.
Some of the notable design elements include colour-coded seat cowl, number board, tracker-style boxy fuel tank, sculpted knee cut-outs, fly screen and newly styled dual-spoke wheels fitted with MRF REVZ FD1 tyres. It comes in three colour schemes namely Racing Yellow, Phantom Black and Aluminium Silver Gloss. Flaunting a flat track silhouette, the Tracker 400 boasts of classic Triumph design cues with race-inspired styling.
The bike also comes with iconic engine profile with powder-coated covers and bright-machined cylinder head fins. The suspension duties are performed by black anodised 43 mm USD front forks and rear gas monoshock RSU with preload adjustment. Both the front and rear units come with 140mm of distance travel. The Tracker 400 has a decent saddle height of 805 mm.
