The Scrambler XC 400 is presented with several modern features and new colourways while carrying the same 400cc TR series engine as the Scrambler 400X.
Triumph has launched the all-new Scrambler 400 XC at a sticker price of Rs 2.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. Being the new top-of-the-line motorcycle in Triumph 400 Scrambler range, it is around Rs 27,000 more expensive than the Scrambler 400X. The motorcycle comes with several advanced features and new colours while powered by the same 400cc liquid-cooled engine. Triumph Scrambler 400 XC will be up for sale at all the company authorized dealerships across the country.
First things first, Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is offered in three colour schemes namely Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels which are shod with tubeless tyres. Other notable exterior elements in the motorcycle are raised front fender, windscreen, knuckle guards, aluminum sump guard and engine bars. A special mention goes to the teardrop-shaped metal fuel tank and stainless steel upswept silencer.

The suspension duties are carried by USD front forks and rear mono-shock unit with both having travel of 150mm. The Scrambler 400 XC also boasts of adjustable clutch and brake levers as standard. Some of the key highlights of the motorcycle are semi-digital instrument cluster, switchable traction control, off-road ABS, all-LED lighting, signature DRL headlight, key with immobilizer, USB charging socket, Torque-assist clutch and Ride-by-Wire throttle.
Mechanically, the Scrambler 400 XC is powered by the same 400cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled TR series petrol engine which generates maximum power of 39.5 bhp at 8000 rpm and highest torque of 37.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The British brand is offering 20+ new Scrambler accessories with the 400 XC.
The company claims that the Scrambler 400 XC has a long service interval of 16,000 km. In addition, it is being sold with a 5-year standard warranty which also includes 1 year of Roadside Assistance (RSA) as standard. The buyers can further opt for extended warranty of up to 10 years while periodic, comprehensive, or part Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) packages are also available.
