Triumph Launches Two New Tiger 800s – XRT & XCA in UK

Triumph has introduced two new versions of the Tiger 800 in the UK which go by the name XRT and XCA (more Tongue twisters!). Placed above the recently launched XRx and XCx (which are available in India), the XRT and XCA get more premium features which try to improve rider comfort during long journeys.

Both the motorcycles get heated rider and pillion seats, heated grips and LED fog lamps. To power all this extra hardware, the Tigers get a larger 650 W alternator. This will also back up as a source of power for the power sockets and GPS systems. They also get CNC machined footrests while the XCA gets special aluminium radiator guards.

As its predecessor, the XRT is a tarmac centric motorcycle while the XCA is for off-road adventure trips. Both the bikes come with standard fitment of pannier rails for the optional Triumph Expedition aluminium luggage system.

These new TigersĀ also bring in two new colour options – Intense Orange on the XRT and Matt Khaki Green on the XCA. The switchable ABS also comes as standard. Both the bikes are powered by the same 800 cc in-line three cylinder liquid cooled engine which produces 95 PS of power and 79 Nm of torque (international version).

And in its current aggression, you can expect Triumph to bring them here in India as well.
