Both the Bonneville T40 and T40 Black are equipped with advanced and upmarket features, which the Bonneville T4 misses out on
Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Bonneville T40 and T40 Black at Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. The duo can be booked on the brand’s official website in India from 04:30 PM on Oct 7, 2026 while first deliveries are expected to start from the second week of November 2026. Both the Triumph Bonneville T40 and T40 Black are rolled out with exquisite features. The Bonneville T40 duo is powered by Triumph’s 350cc TR Series engine which belts out 28.6 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 31 Nm at 5,500 rpm while linked to a 6-speed gearbox.
First things first, Triumph Bonneville T40 is available in three heritage-inspired dual-tone colourways namely Aegean Blue + Fusion White, Meriden Blue + Tangerine Orange, and New England White + Jet Black. On the other hand, Triumph Bonneville T40 Black is rolled out in Matt Pewter Grey and Matt Phantom Black theme. It also boasts of gloss-black aluminium wheel rims contrasted by bright steel spokes.
The styling of the T40 duo is identical to the T4 with similar design elements such as brushed peashooter silencer, hand-painted coach lining, 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, chrome-finished mirrors and grab hoop. However, the T40 Black, as evident by the name, carries these components in black paint to complement its darker overall treatment.

The Bonneville T40 and T40 Black are offered with three pre-configured riding modes namely Road, Rain and Eco, which are joined by two customisable modes. Both the bikes flaunt a new class-leading 4-inch fully-coloured round TFT display which displays key riding information such as gear position, indicators, ambient temperature and fuel level among many others.
Full map navigation is included as standard and powered by the new Triumph Navigation App. The TFT on T40 and T40 Black presents a full map view and speed limit information, while favourite destinations, points of interest and recent searches can all be accessed directly through the display. Routes can be saved, imported via GPX files and shared with other riders, with navigation information displayed directly on the motorcycle’s TFT screen.

Last but not the least, Phone connectivity is provided as standard and operated through the TFT display and left-hand switch cube. Riders can answer calls, access contacts and control music playback without handling their phone directly. A few other notable features include All-LED lighting system, Emergency Deceleration Warning, Self-cancelling indicators, Lean-sensitive Optimised Cornering ABS, USB-C charging socket, Optimised Cornering Traction Control and Cruise control.
