Several leading two-wheeler brands such as Royal Enfield, TVS and Triumph launched new motorcycles in the first six months of 2026 in India

The first half of 2026 is done and dusted but it leaves us with a lot of memorable motorcycle launches from almost every major two-wheeler brand in the country. Several popular bikes received comprehensive visual and mechanical updates while a few all-new models also went on sale during the H1 2026 in the Indian market. As we are already into the second half of 2026, let’s take a brief moment in time to go back and have a detailed look at the top 5 motorcycles launched in the last six months in India.

1. KTM RC 160

The RC 160 became the most affordable faired sportbike in KTM’s line-up upon its launch in Jan 2026 at a sticker price of Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Sporting a familiar styling as the RC 200 and RC 390, it is powered by a 164.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which develops top power of 18.7 bhp at 9,500 rpm and peak torque of 15.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

KTM RC 160

Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, it propels the RC 160 to clock a top speed of 118 kmph. Some of the notable features onboard the fully-faired sportsbike are dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode, assist & slipper clutch, all-LED lighting system, 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, and navigation support.

2. 2026 Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0

Hero MotoCorp launched the latest version of the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 in May 2026 at Rs 86,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. Rolled out with refreshed dual-tone body graphics, it debuted the first-in-segment Hazard Lights feature in the Super Splendor range.

A few other standout features include front disc brake, handlebar-mounted engine kill switch, all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, incoming call alerts, SMS notifications, Real Time Mileage Indicator (RTMi), Low Fuel Indicator, and 2 Amp USB Type-C charging port. The 2026 Hero Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 uses the same 124.7cc engine which produces 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm. However, the biggest USP of the bike remains its best-in-class mileage of 72 kmpl.

3. 2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450

In March 2026, the Guerrilla 450 finally received its first extensive upgrade in the Indian market. While the entry-level Analog grade was axed in favour of an all-new Apex variant, the Dash and Flash trims were retained with a handful of updates. The 2026 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex rides on new road-biased 17-inch Vredestein Centuro ST tyres.

The brand also introduced refreshed graphics, standard rim tapes, sculpted rear seat cowl, ride modes (Street & Sport) with mode retention function, and a color-coded front cowl with the Apex trim. Priced between Rs 2.49-2.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), the latest iteration of the Guerrilla 450 was presented at the GRRR Nights festival in Guwahati.

4. Triumph Tracker 400

Triumph launched the sixth model in the 400 line-up in April 2026 in the form of the Tracker 400 in India. It was the first locally produced bike in the entry-level portfolio to carry the new TR-Series 350cc engine right from the time of launch, unlike its other siblings which were updated later with the downsized engine.

Featuring flat and wide handlebars and repositioned footpegs, it pays tribute to the legendary flat track racer by flaunting the number ‘400’ on the side body panels. Some of the bells and whistles onboard the Tracker 400 include torque-assist clutch, switchable traction control, single-dial analogue speedometer with digital tachometer, and ABS.

5. 2026 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V

Priced in a range of Rs 1.25-1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) in India, the 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V was launched with projector headlamp, all-LED lighting and assist & slipper clutch as standard fitments across the entire variant line-up of the motorcycle. Two new variants of the bike went on sale with Class-D projector headlamp and LED DRLs, as the range-topping TFT grade was already available with these premium features.

All the mechanicals, engine specifications, and performance parameters of the 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V range remained unchanged with the same 159.7cc single-cylinder oil-cooled unit at the helm. It develops best-in-segment power output of 23.5 bhp and highest torque of 14.73 Nm while linked to a 5-speed gearbox.
