The ICE scooter segment witnessed the arrival of multiple new models from key two-wheeler brands in the last six months in the Indian market
The scooter segment accounted for more than 30 percent of the overall two-wheeler sales in June 2026 in the Indian market. The scooter sales started witnessing a rapid rise from Sep 2025 onwards when the GST was reduced from 28 percent to 18 percent. Hence, most of the popular scooters became cheaper than ever and hence, the retail volumes started growing at a steady pace. Several new models were launched in the last six months by the leading auto brands in our country. As we head into the second half of 2026, let’s take a closer look at the top 5 ICE scooters launched in H1 2026 in India.
1. Suzuki Access ABS
In Feb 2026, Suzuki updated the Ride Connect and Ride Connect TFT variants of its best-selling scooter, the Access, with a single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Priced between Rs 92,328-98,378 (ex-showroom, Delhi), Suzuki Access ABS gets alloy wheels, front disc brake, 4.2-inch coloured TFT instrument cluster, USB charging port, engine start and stop switch with Suzuki Easy Start System, all-LED lighting (headlamp, position lamp and tail-lamp cluster), ABS warning indicator, and Suzuki Ride Connect.

At the heart, it has the same 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine which generates max power of 8.3 bhp at 6500 rpm and peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5000 rpm. The OBD-2B compliant engine features a self-start (electric start) system in the ABS variants.
2. Honda Dio 125 X-Edition
The Dio 125 X-Edition was launched in Feb 2026 at a price point of Rs 87,733 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in our country. It was presented with exclusive X‑Edition graphics on the body panels while flaunting a dual-tone Pearl Deep Ground Grey and Pearl Siren Blue colour scheme. The basic body colour is dark blue while several elements such as running board, front apron, side body panels and grab rails are painted in contrasting Grey colour.

Honda Dio 125 X‑Edition comes equipped with coloured alloy wheels which are finished in Mat Frash paint shade. Based on the top-end H-Smart variant, it boasts of the new X‑Edition decals on the sides. Mechanically, the Dio 125 X-Edition is powered by a 123.92cc air-cooled engine which develops top power of 8.2 bhp and peak torque of 10.5 Nm.
3. 2026 Yamaha Fascino
Yamaha launched the 2026 Fascino a couple of months back in April with a refreshed tail section and compact silhouette. The rear profile features redesigned taillights, flashers, and the distinctive V‑iconic taillight design. The scooter was also updated with new decals while rolled out in three variants namely Drum, Disc and S at price points of Rs 76,500, Rs 88,000, and Rs 95,200, respectively.

All the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom, Delhi. Some of the bells and whistles on offer are telescopic suspension, side stand engine cut‑off, 21‑litre under‑seat storage and E20 fuel compatibility. The 2026 Yamaha Fascino retains Yamaha’s Blue Core Hybrid 125cc air‑cooled engine with the same power and torque figures.
4. 2026 TVS Ntorq 125
TVS Motor Company updated the Disc Edition and Race Edition variants of the Ntorq 125 with new colours and graphics in June 2026 in the Indian market. Both these trims were equipped with SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity and a fully digital instrument cluster with LCD display while they retained the same engine with identical power and torque figures.

While 2026 TVS Ntorq 125 Disc Edition was priced at Rs 82,500, the 2026 TVS Ntorq 125 Race Edition was offered at Rs 87,950. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. At the heart, the 2026 Ntorq 125 has the same 124.8 cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine which produces top power of 9.2 bhp at 7000 rpm and peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 5500 rpm. The engine is paired with IntelliGO start stop tech as standard.
5. 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street
The 2026 Burgman Street was introduced with a revised front fascia, modern features and extended fuel tank capacity in a price range of Rs 1.02-1.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) on April 2, 2026 in India. The scooter received new body-mounted split-lens LED headlights with integrated position lights, compact LED turn signals, and an updated LED rear combination light.

In addition, the overall appeal of the 2026 Burgman Street was further enhanced by the inclusion of premium components in the form of Metallic-finish emblems, dark smoked windscreen, upswept muffler, redesigned grab bar, aluminium pillion footpegs and tail-mounted fuel lid. The fuel tank capacity was extended to 5.5-litre while underseat storage area was also increased to 24.6 litre. At the heart, it has the updated 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine which produces top power of 8.3 bhp and peak torque of 10.2 Nm.
