The electric two-wheeler industry is dominated by the scooter models in the Indian market. It recorded a surreal YoY growth this year with almost 1 lakh e-scooters being sold every month in the country. Several leading two-wheeler manufacturers such as TVS, Bajaj and Hero MotoCorp among others introduced new models in the e-scooter segment this year in India. As this year bids adeiu and the new year just a few days away, we bring to you the top 5 electric scooters launched in 2025 in this detailed piece.

1. Hero Vida VX2

Launched earlier this year in July, Vida VX2 is the most affordable mass-market electric scooter at a starting price of just Rs 59,490 (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. It is also the first company model to come with the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) model. The VX2 e-scooter is available in two variants namely Go and Plus with 2.2 kWh and 3.4 kWh battery packs, respectively.

The former returns a range of 92 km on a full charge while the latter is claimed to run up to 142 km on a single charge. Some of the notable features onboard the Vida VX2 are single-piece seat, 12-inch wheels, 33.2 litres of underseat storage area, fast charging support, turn-by-turn navigation, ride modes, remote immobilization and cloud connectivity.

2. TVS Orbiter

The Orbiter is an entry-level electric scooter in TVS portfolio as it already has the iQube and X. Introduced in Aug 2025 at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), it has gone on sale in select cities with deliveries starting just a few days back in Bengaluru. TVS Orbiter is powered by a 3.1 kWh battery with an IDC range of 158 km.

Riding on 14-inch wheels, the e-scooter comes with 290 mm straight-line footboard and 845 mm long flatform single-piece seat. Despite being a budget-friendly model, it comes loaded with a plethora of premium features in the form of LED headlamp, ride modes, turn-by-turn navigation, OTA updates, cruise control, hill hold assist, USB charging slot and reverse mode.

3. Kinetic DX

Kinetic DX was launched in July 2025 in two trims namely DX and DX Plus at price points of Rs 1.11 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh, respectively, in the country. Both the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom, Pune. The deliveries of the e-scooter started from Dec 2025. Based on the iconic KiHo (Kinetic-Honda) DX100 of the 1980s, it has been designed by Kinetic’s Italy-based partner Torino design.

The DX electric scooter is equipped with a 2.6 kWh LFP battery pack which ensures 116 km of range on a full charge. The top speed is pegged at 90 kmph. It gets several advanced features such as real-time ride stats and vehicle data, voice-assisted navigation, 37 litres under-seat storage, ride modes, reverse mode and hill hold.

4. Ola S1 Pro Sport

Presented as India’s first electric two-wheeler with ADAS tech, Ola S1 Pro Sport was unveiled on Aug 16, 2025 in the country. It is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) with deliveries slated to begin in Jan 2026. The ADAS suite comes with multiple upmarket safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning among others.

Fitted with a 5.2 kWh battery pack with in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell, the e-scooter has an astonishing range of 320 km, when fully charged. The Bhavish Aggarwal-led EV brand claims that the S1 Pro Sport can do the 0-40 kmph sprint in merely 2 secs before topping out at 152 kmph. It will run on the company’s latest AI powered MoveOS 6.

5. Bajaj Chetak 3001

Bajaj Auto introduced its most affordable electric scooter on June 17, 2025 in the form of the Chetak 3001 at price of Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom) in India. Sitting on the Chetak 35 platform, it is said to be the facelifted version of the Chetak 2903. Bajaj Chetak 3001 is offered with a steel metal body while boasting of modern features such as 35 litres of underseat storage, auto-flashing stop lamp, guide me home lights, reverse light and hill hold assist.

The electric scooter is packed with a floorboard mounted 3 kWh battery which gives a range of 127 km on a single charge. It takes 3 hours and 50 mins for a 0-80 percent charge through a 750W charger. The Chetak 3001 is also sold via the Amazon e-commerce platform.
