Oben Electric emerged as the biggest brand in the electric motorcycle segment with sales of 1,417 units in September 2026
The electric motorcycle industry is gradually evolving in India as retail volumes are increasing with each month passing. As compared to electric scooters, this segment is still at a nascent stage, but we can clearly notice the growth as more and more auto brands are foraying into this category. While the major mainstream brands still away, several pure EV start-ups have been selling their e-bikes in the Indian market. Oben Electric lead the sales charts in Sep 2026 with 1,417 registrations, which is the brand’s highest-ever monthly sales since its inception. The data available on Vahan portal showed the company as the No. 1 electric motorcycle brand. The company had launched the Rorr Evo e-motorcycle in India at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). However, the aforementioned price was valid for the first 10,000 customers.
Oben Rorr Evo garnered more than 25,000 bookings within just 15 days of its official launch in the Indian market. Later on, the price of the electric motorcycle was increased to Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the buyers as first deliveries commence in July 2026. The Rorr Evo, powered by a 3.4 kWh LFP battery pack, returns an IDC range of 180 km on a single charge.

The second position was occupied by Revolt Motors with 1,027 registrations in September 2026. The company retails a total of six electric motorcycles in the local market in India. The models sold are RVX (Rs 1.40 lakh), RV400 (Rs 1.40 lakh), RV BlazeX (Rs 1.35 lakh), RV1+ (Rs 1.20 lakh), RV1 (Rs 99,999), and RV400 BRZ (Rs 1.30 lakh). Presently, the Gurgaon-based all-electric brand has more than 170 sales and service touchpoints in India.
The third spot was occupied by Ultraviolette Automotive which retails high-performance electric motorcycles in the domestic market in India. The Bengaluru-based EV brand sold 536 units in September 2026. The company’s portfolio in our country includes X-47 Crossover, X-47 Desert Wing, F77 Superstreet, and F77 Mach 2 at starting prices of Rs 2.49 lakh, Rs 4.59 lakh, Rs 3.09 lakh, and Rs 3.09 lakh, respectively. All the prices are ex-showroom, Bengaluru.

The fourth and fifth positions were held by Matter and Raptee with sales numbers of 69 units and 17 units, respectively, in September 2026. Notably, Ola Electric is also one of the major players in the electric motorcycle segment with the Roadster X series. However, the brand’s sales figures for the month of September have not been disclosed as of now.
