Cruiser motorcycles are synonymous with effortless comfort during longer journeys for the rider as well as pillion. Several global brands such as Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycles are famous for offering some of the finest cruiser bikes across the world, albeit with engine capacity beyond 1000cc and prices well above Rs 10 lakh. However, in this piece, we will talk in detail about the affordable cruiser bikes in India which can be purchased by paying less than Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
1. Royal Enfield Meteor 350
It will not be an understatement of any sorts to term the Meteor 350 as the most ‘complete’ mid-sized cruiser motorcycle available in India. Being the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to be built on the J-series platform, it has already crossed the 6 lakh units sales milestone as it is not only sold in the Indian market but also in multiple international markets including LATAM, SAARC and Europe.
Launched in Nov 2020, it is offered with several premium features such as a digi-analog instrument cluster, Tripper navigation pod, all-LED lighting, USB Type-C fast-charging port, Assist-and-slip clutch and adjustable levers. Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is offered in four distinct variants namely Fireball, Stellar, Aurora and Supernova with ex-showroom prices in Chennai ranging between Rs 1,99,189 and Rs 2,19,660. At the heart, it has the 349cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine which develops 20.2 bhp at 6100 rpm and peak torque of 27 Nm at 4000 rpm.
2. Honda CB350 H’Ness
Presented in a retro avatar with chrome-studded round LED headlamp, Honda CB350 H’ness is the brand’s entry-level cruiser model sold through the BigWing dealerships across the country. It is offered in three variants namely DLX, DLX Pro, and DLX Pro Chrome at price points of Rs 1.93 lakh, Rs 1.96 lakh and Rs 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Some of the notable features onboard the CB350 H’ness are dual-channel ABS, split seat setup, USB charger, hazard switch and Honda Smartphone Voice Control system (HSVCS). The cruiser is powered by a OBD-2B compliant 348.36cc single-cylinder air-cooled PGM-FI petrol engine which is also E20 fuel ready. It generates maximum power of 20.8 bhp at 5500 rpm and highest torque of 30 Nm at 3000 rpm while coupled with a 5-speed transmission and Assist and Slip clutch.
3. Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220
Priced at just Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), Bajaj Avenger 220 is the most affordable cruiser bike in the Indian market. It is available in two colour schemes namely Moon White and Auburn Black. The cruiser gets a massive front windscreen, low slung wider seat, upright handlebars, cushioned backrest and comfortable riding stance.
The Avenger 220 boasts of a 280 mm front disc brake with single-channel ABS as standard. The cruiser bike is powered by a 220cc single cylinder oil-cooled engine with max power of 18.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and highest torque of 17.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm, coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. It rides on 17-inch front and 15-inch rear spoke wheels with tubed tyres.
4. Royal Enfield Classic 350
Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the oldest, most loved and top-selling cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market. It is available in a total of seven colour schemes namely Redditch Red (Rs 1,85,854), Madras Red (Rs 1,92,035), Medallion Bronze (Rs 1,96,371), Commando Sand (Rs 2,07,917), Gun Grey (Rs 2,16,582), Stealth Black (Rs 2,16,582) and Emerald (Rs 2,21,393). All the variants mentioned below come with a single-channel ABS and the prices are ex-showroom, Chennai.

5. TVS Ronin 225
The Ronin is the only cruiser motorcycle in TVS portfolio as it mostly retails sports bikes in the form of the Apache series in the Indian market. It is available in a total of seven variants namely Base Lightning Black (Rs 1.29 lakh), Base Magma Red (Rs 1.30 lakh), Agonda Edition (Rs 1.33 lakh), Mid Glacier Silver (Rs 1.49 lakh), Mid Charcoal Ember (Rs 1.50 lakh), Top Nimbus Grey and Top Midnight Blue at Rs 1.62 lakh. The cruiser comes with multiple advanced features in the form of dual-channel ABS, USD front forks, 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, adjustable levers, assist & slipper clutch, front and rear disc brakes and all-LED lighting. At the heart, the Ronin 225 has the 225.9cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine which generates power output of 20 bhp and torque delivery of 19.9 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
