The word is that Ducati, the motorcycle specialist is going to diversify its product offerings and may just start producing scooters! This is an interesting update, as there have been two conflicting answers received from the management. While the Ducati supremo has denied all rumours of a possible scooter, the CEO Claudio Domenicali has sparked new hopes.
In conversation with an Italian website Moto.it, Domenicali reveals that a Ducati badged scooter may be the way forward. Well, this is not the first time the Ducati brand name has been linked to scooters. The Italian manufacturer did manufacturer a 175 cc scooter called the Cruiser from 1952 to 1954, and later another range of scooters called Brio in 48cc, 80cc and 94cc variants from 1963 to 1967.
The CEO believes that a Ducati badged scooter in this age should not be seen as sacrilege. They believe that if they can bring out their company values and ethos in any way, they will do it, even if it means making coffee cups!
We would not mind a Diavel-like super gorgeous scoot Ducati.. 😉
