Yes, the three wise men are back! This time in a new show at Amazon Prime. And they finally have a name: The Grand Tour! Set to debut this autumn (which as we understand starts from September in UK), the show will see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May and praise the lord it’s not Gear Knobs. Things at the Grand Tour are expected to be different from what we have seen them doing at their previous stint with BBC’s TopGear.
Incidentally, the announcement comes days before BBC is all set to start the new series on May 29, 2016. Post the departure of Clarkson, May and Hammond, TopGear has gained 6 new presenters, one of them surprisingly is Matt Le Blanc!
Here’s what Clarkson wrote about the show on his Twitter account:
“So, the Grand Tour (GT for short) will come from a tent, which we will put up in a different location every week. Your town?”
The show will consist of 12 episodes, each of which will be shot in different locations. One will be a Christmas special. It is not certain if they will be making all the episodes all at once, a la Netflix fashion or follow the traditional approach of releasing one episode each week. Whatever be the case we expect a power packed show which will blow your mind!
Don’t like the name enough? Hey, at least it’s not ‘Ace Biscuits’ or ‘Tripods’ or even ‘A Small Puddle of Excellence’. 😉
