Update SCOOP – Suzuki Gixxer 250 Leaked

Apart from Bajaj, Suzuki Motorcycles was the other major player which registered terrific growth in the otherwise muted market sentiments of last fiscal (April 2018 to March 2019). They ended the last financial year with a growth of over 33 percent by registering sales of almost 6.69 Lakh units. This is the highest growth percentage among all the mainstream two-wheeler manufacturers. Of late, they have also closed the gap with Royal Enfield and if RE’s dismal performance continues we may have a new number five for this year.

Suzuki has continued the momentum in the new financial year and they registered a healthy 12.57 percent Year-on-year growth in the month of April 2019. They managed to sell 65,942 two-wheelers in this month (including exports). Sharing this information, Suzuki’s VP has also revealed their plans for this year.

Access has been a remarkable seller for Suzuki

With their entry level products like Hayate, Slingshot, Let’s, etc not doing well in the market, Suzuki has understood that the way to go is ‘premium’. They have clearly specified in the press note that new products will be positioned in the ‘premium’ segments.
