Suzuki All Set to Double Capacity to 5.4 Lakh Units by 2012

Suzuki is all set to rage on the Indian market by increasing its capacity of units produced per annum to 5.4 lakh by 2012. Suzuki said that it has tried to capitalize on the opportunities and is now planning a heavy investment of 500 crs in order to increase its production capacity. The recently launched Suzuki Sling shot is just a beginning in order to assess the requirements of the Indian youth, a source close to Suzuki India said.

Suzuki has plans of investing 450 crores in coming year and 50 crores in the year after that. Sources say that Suzuki has set forth major plans to take the Indian market hands on by launching technically advanced and fuel efficient bikes in the coming year.

Suzuki has made up to increase their production capacity to 5.4 lakh by 2012. One thing is for sure, after the production increases there is going to be lot of news regarding Suzuki Motorcycles. They are also planning to invest high amount of funds on marketing and advertising. Let us wait and see, if Suzuki India can really do it. The brand sells both scooters and bikes; they plan to increase their models by launching newer ones. Do not be surprised if you see Suzuki climbing up the ladder and even beating Hero Honda in terms of production capacity.
