And in the 11 months data that we have, Suzuki has managed to sell 27 units of the motorcycle only – an average of about 2.5 bikes a month – with zero dispatches in as many as four months. For reference, it wholesaled 24 units of the legendary Hayabusa in one single month of July 2022!

2023 Gixxer 250 & Gixxer 150 Launched; Price & List of Changes

In the last two months, there has been no movement from Suzuki’s factory and we aren’t sure if the Katana has even been updated to the OBD2 emission norms that came into effect from 1st April 2023.

Katana was introduced at a higher-than-expected price tag of 13.61 Lac ex-showroom which could be one reason of its lacklustre performance. Its rival Ninja 1000SX sells at roughly Rs 1.40 Lac lesser. Will the Katana pick pace this year? Any other way Suzuki can sweeten up the deal for you…?
