The e-Access will finally go on sale next month in the Indian market against the likes of TVS iQube, Honda Activa e and Ather Rizta.

Suzuki India unveiled its first-ever electric scooter for India in the form of the e-Access at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It entered series production earlier this year in May at the brand’s factory in Gurgaon, Haryana. However, the price announcement has been delayed multiple times by Suzuki due to reasons best known to them. Now, finally we hear that Suzuki e-Access will be launched in Sep 2025 in the Indian market with deliveries commencing immediately post the launch. It will directly rival TVS iQube, Honda Activa e and Ather Rizta.

Suzuki e-Access marks the Japanese two-wheeler brand’s entry in the EV segment in India. It will be available in three dual-tone colour options in the form of Metallic Mat Black No.2 + Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White + Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, and Pearl Jade Green + Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray. The e-scooter sits on a newly developed rigid pipe frame while flaunting a LED headlamp upfront.

Some of the notable features in the e-Access include Overcharging Prevention Function, Auto Ready Cancel, Multi Ride Modes (Eco, Mode A and Mode B), Regenerative Braking and Reverse Mode. It has a ground clearance of 160 mm while the saddle height stands at 765 mm. The braking duties are performed by 190 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum units.

Suzuki has also installed Aluminum pillion rider footrests in the e-Access for extra comfort and convenience. Featuring a Keyless System, it also boasts of Multi-Function Starter Switch for locking and unlocking of seat, handle, and charging inlet lid. The e-Access get an underseat storage capacity of 17 litres while it also has small pockets in the front apron for storing small belongings. The electric scooter also comes with dual hooks for carrying more luggage on the floorboard.

Suzuki is offering both the side stand and centre stand as standard fitments with the e-Access, which is seldom seen in the other electric scooters. There is also an illuminated USB Port for charging the Smartphone. The safety features onboard the e-scooter include Side Stand Interlock System, Tip over detection and Rear Brake Lock. The 4.2-inch color TFT LCD display comes with Smartphone connectivity using Suzuki Ride Connect App to offer Navigation, Incoming Call Notification and Weather Alerts.

Suzuki e-Access is equipped with a 3 kWh fixed Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack which returns a range of 95 km on a full charge. It delivers top power of 5.5 bhp and peak torque of 15 Nm as the electric scooter is claimed to clock a top speed of 71 kmph. Suzuki is providing an AC portable charger with the e-Access so that it can be charged anywhere anytime. It takes 6 hours and 20 mins for a full juice up through the portable AC charger while a 0-100 percent charge takes around 2 hours and 12 mins through DC fast chargers.
