Simple Ultra Electric Scooter Launch Price Rs 2.35 Lakh – 400 Km Range

The Ultra electric scooter, powered by a 6.5 kWh battery pack, is capable of clocking a top speed of 115 kmph

Simple Energy has launched the Ultra electric scooter at a sticker price of Rs 2.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Being the brand’s flagship model, it is packed with a 6.5 kWh battery pack which returns an IDC range of 400 km on a full charge. Simple Ultra bookings had already commenced earlier this year and deliveries are also claimed to have begun across the country. The Ultra is the fourth electric scooter in the company’s portfolio after the Dot One, One and OneS in the domestic market.

Speaking on the price reveal, Mr. Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, said, “At Simple Energy, we engineer with intent. The Simple Ultra is built for riders who demand extreme range and performance without compromise. With a 400 km IDC range and high-performance architecture, it sets a new benchmark for electric two-wheelers in India. With prices now revealed and deliveries underway, we are delivering truly anxiety-free electric mobility at scale, backed by our expanding pan-India network.”

Simple Ultra is offered with a 7-inch instrument cluster and four-level traction control as standard features. The electric scooter comes with a top speed of 115 kmph while doing the 0-40 kmph sprint in merely 2.77 secs. The Bengaluru-based all-electric brand has stated that the Ultra is India’s second fastest electric scooter, after the Simple One 5 kWh variant.

Presently, Simple Energy has 70 sales and service outlets across key cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Agra, Goa, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (Aurangabad) and Chennai, among others. The brand will further expand its dealership network by tapping into new cities namely Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneshwar in the coming months.

The Ultra electric scooter will not be eligible for PM E-Drive subsidy benefits due to the higher price. Just so you know, electric scooters priced below Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) can enjoy the PM E-Drive subsidy. It will also be deprived of the incentives offered under the Delhi EV Policy 2026 due to the maximum ex-showroom price exceeding the threshold of Rs 2.25 lakh.

Earlier this year, Simple One Gen 2 was introduced at a starting price of Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) in two variants with IDC range of 236 km and 265km. On the other hand, Simple OneS Gen 2 comes with an IDC range of 190 km while priced at Rs 1.75 lakh. The Simple Ultra will not have a direct rival in the Indian market due to its exorbitant battery pack size and maximum range.
