New Simple Dot One Launched at 99,999*; Gets 151 Km Range

Simple Dot One price puts it as a direct rival against Ola S1 X that costs Rs 90,000, however this price is not applicable for all…

Simple Energy, a start-up that looks to have pretty good potential, has introduced its second electric scooter in the Indian market which is called as the Dot One. As its name suggests, the Dot One is an offshoot of the flagship One scooter and is offered as an affordable offering in the Rs 1 Lakh segment.

The Dot One has an 8.5 KW electric motor that produces 72 Nm of torque. It has a 3.7 KWH fixed battery that offers a 160 km IDC range and 151 km of certified range – that, the company claims, is the largest among its rivals in the segment. In terms of performance, the Dot One can accelerate from zero to 40 kph in claimed 2.77 seconds. Simple says the Dot One is the fastest electric 2 wheeler in its segment.

The Dot One has a larger 35 liter underseat storage and comes with 12 inch tubeless tyres – both front and rear. It is coupled with a 750 watt charger.

Simple Dot One Price

Dot One99,999*

Simple has put in a star after the price since this tag is only applicable to buyers who have previously booked the Simple One (and are waiting for their deliveries) and that too only in Bangalore city. For all others, the buying price will be announced next month and it will be higher! It should also be noted that Simple says this price is introductory till stocks last.

With this announcement, Simple has opened the bookings for the scoot. There are six colors on offer – Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, Azure Blue, LightX and BrazenX.

The question is – why has the company launched its second scooter when it has barely delivered a handful of Ones in the market in the last many many months?
