Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Debut at EICMA 2026: CEO B Govindarajan

The Himalayan 750 is under development and requires a lot more time for testing, stated Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan on the sidelines of EICMA 2025

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will have its global debut in production-ready form at the EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. During the recently concluded edition of Milan Motorcycle Show, Royal Enfield CEO, B Govindarajan confirmed this news and stated that more development time is required. For those asking, Royal Enfield displayed a pre-production prototype of the Himalayan 750 at the EICMA 2025. Govindarajan further stated that the model displayed at the event was a concept and it needs more testing time before entering the production.

“I think we may have to wait ’til up to the next EICMA. It’s a concept and we have to test it. We have to see it from a consumer lens. The Himalayas is our spiritual world. We always take the motorcycle back there. The concept has come out very well. We are testing it,” the Royal Enfield CEO said. Earlier this year, the Himalayan 750 was spotted in Ladakh with the top brass of Royal Enfield management, including BGR himself.

“You would have seen some of us riding and posting it [on social media] because we love it. And the love is still there. And we may have to wait till up to the next time [at EICMA],” he continued. Most of the auto pundits had assumed that the Chennai-based two-wheeler brand would showcase the large twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle at this year’s EICMA in Italy, as the company was also celebrating its 125th anniversary as well.

The Himalayan 750 prototype, showcased at the EICMA 2025, was equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels. Flaunting an all-black paint shade, it had a rear rack for storing luggage. Some of the other notable elements include round LED headlamp, knuckle guards, upswept exhaust, front windscreen and Brembo-controlled Bybre disc braking system. Most of these elements are already present in the Himalayan 450.

At the heart, the Himalayan 750 is equipped with a 750cc twin-cylinder air/oil-cooled petrol engine which has been developed from the tried-and-trusted 648cc parallel-twin engine. Royal Enfield also presented the 750cc version of the Continental GT at the EICMA 2025 with track-only bikini fairing and 750 badging on the fuel tank. Interestingly, the company also showcased this model at the Motoverse 2025 in Goa.
