Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 Spotted Undisguised, Clear Images Inside

The Flying Flea C6 is likely to launch in the next few days in the Indian market as Royal Enfield’s first-ever electric motorcycle

Royal Enfield has been testing the Flying Flea C6, its first-ever electric motorcycle, from the last 12-15 months in and around India. Now, it has been spied undisguised for the first time near the company’s production facility in Chennai, hinting at a possible launch in the coming weeks. The Flying Flea C6 had its global premiere at the EICMA 2024 and since then, it had been on a multi-city tour in India with previews held in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. It will have no direct rival upon launch in our country.

The spy images confirm that production version is quite identical to the concept model, which takes styling cues from the original Flying Flea of 1940s. Some of the design highlights include round LED headlamp, large alloy wheels, belt-drive setup mounted on the right side, Girder front fork, exposed rear frame and minimal body panels.

The spy shots also show a centre stand for the first time in the Flying Flea C6 as no test units were seen with it in the past. It will come with front and rear disc brakes along with a dual-channel ABS. The all-electric neo-retro cruiser motorcycle will boast of a mid-mounted electric motor with a belt drive system. The pillion seat can be detached and attached as per the requirement.

Some of the notable features onboard the Flying Flea C6 will be a round digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth Smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call & message alerts, keyless ignition system and music control. The lithium-ion battery pack will be housed by a magnesium casing for reduction in overall weight of the electric motorcycle.

Though it has not been made official, we believe that the Flying Flea C6 will be powered by a 4-5 kWh battery which could return a range of 100-150 km on a single charge. The IP67-rated battery pack will get active thermal management and cell-level thermal monitoring as standard. The C6 will deliver performance equivalent to a 250-350cc ICE-powered motorcycle.

Recently, the brand had also announced to ramp up the production capacity from the existing 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units annually as several new bikes will be launched this year in India by Royal Enfield.
