Royal Enfield Continental GT R 750 Spotted Undisguised in Chennai

Reportedly, the first 750cc model from Royal Enfield will be priced around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market

Royal Enfield Continental GT-R 750 was showcased at the EICMA 2025 in race-spec version. The same model was also on display at the Motoverse 2025 in Goa. So, it is not a secret anymore that the Chennai-based two-wheeler brand is developing a bigger portfolio of 750cc bikes and the Continental GT R 750 is going to be the first motorcycle. It has been spotted multiple times during the test runs on foreign soil. However, this time around, the cafe-racer has been spied undisguised near the brand’s factory in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The spy images show the upcoming Continental GT-R 750 in an all-black paint scheme while the overall styling is on the similar lines as the smaller Continental GT 650. Some of the striking design elements include twin upswept exhausts, rear-set footpegs, clip-on handlebars and upright riding posture. The hump at the rear seat is also noticeable as it previews a cafe-racer cowl.

The suspension duties will be handled by telescopic front forks, albeit with adjustability. The spy shots show adjusters on top of the front forks. As for the rear suspension, contrary to the previous sightings, this test unit in particular misses out on gas-charged shock absorbers which indicates that Royal Enfield could be working on multiple variants of the cafe-racer. However, we can still see preload adjustment with the rear suspension setup.

The stopping power will come from dual disc brakes at front, which will be a first for any Royal Enfield bike till date. The braking system appears to be smaller than the 320 mm single disc seen in the current crop of 650cc bikes, but the inclusion of twin discs will certainly ensure better braking performance and smaller stopping distance.

The spied test mule appears to be riding on 17-inch alloy wheels which could be shared with the GT 650. They could be fitted with Verdestein Centauro ST tubeless tyres. The twin-pod instrument cluster is likely to go for a toss in favour of a single-pod unit with TFT screen and modern features. It could be borrowed from the Himalayan 50 and Guerrilla 450.

At the heart, Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 will house a 750cc parallel-twin air/oil-cooled petrol engine which will be developed from the existing 650cc engine which makes 46.4 bhp and 52 Nm. However, the 750cc mill is expected to produce max power in the ballpark of 50-55 bhp. The Continental GT 650 will not be discontinued post the arrival of the bigger 750cc motorcycle and both the models will be sold together in India. Expect the Continental GT 750 to break cover by the end of 2026.
