Royal Enfield 350X ABS price is expected to be about Rs 10,000-15,000 more than the non-ABS version…
Like other makers, Royal Enfield is equipping most of its motorcycles with ABS, ahead of the March 31st 2019 deadline. According to a government ruling, from April 2019 no motorcycle over 125cc will be allowed to be sold without the safety net of ABS.
After Himalayan and others, company’s 350X has been spotted with ABS at one of the dealerships, in a video shared by avid BikeAdvice reader Abinash Panigrahi (he has earlier shared with us a video of 2019 Bullet 350 as well).
As you can see in the video, the motorcycle has ABS rings on both the wheels and a sticker at the front forks confirms that it is a ‘Dual Channel’ ABS unit that Royal Enfield has plonked. Dual channel ABS controls both the front as well as rear wheels and is better than Single Channel ABS (which only acts on the front wheel) which a lot of the existing motorcycles are coming equipped with.

The video showcases the (roving) red colour and (whimsical) white is the other colour on offer for this version. There are no other changes that we can notice and it is expected to continue being powered by the same 346cc, single cylinder air cooled 19.8 bhp/28Nm engine.
Himalayan Overtakes Dominar in Sales; Momentary or Permanent?
The Thunderbird 350X was launched earlier in August this year at Rs 1.57 Lakh ex-showroom Delhi. ABS is expected to push the prices by a few grands. And since the motorcycles have already started reaching dealerships expect an official announcement soon.
