Roadmaster & Dark Horse Indian Unveiling on 7th May

Indian Motorcycles is on a product carnage. Internationally, they introduced their new flagship ‘Roadmaster’ in July 2014 (ahead of Sturgis Rally) and the ‘Dark Horse‘ earlier this year in Chicago. Both the products will be brought to India in an official national unveiling event on 7th May in Bengaluru, where they will also inaugurate their new Bengaluru dealership.

The Roadmaster, offered in three color options, gets the same Thunder Stroke 111 1811 cc engine which produces 138.9 Nm of torque and weighs 421 kgs (wet). According to the official website, the Roadmaster will be priced at about RsĀ 35 Lakhs and comes with Horizon Power windshield, heated seats, heated grips, adjustable floorboards, remote locking storage, keyless ignition and tons of other touring-friendly features.

On the other hand, the Dark Horse is a new introduction to the Chief family and is the first of the 2016 models for the brand. The Chief Dark Horse which is essentially a blackened Classic, is also powered by the same 1811 cc motor producing 138.9 Nm of torque. It comes with features like matte black finish, keyless ignition, ABS, Cruise Control etc and at 357 kg, it is 13 kgs lighter than Chief Classic. According to the Indian Motorcycle’s website, the Dark Horse is priced at Rs 22 Lakhs.
