From the Big Billion Day sale, River Indie will be available on the omni-channel digital retail ecosystem
River Mobility has joined hands with e-commerce giant Flipkart for the digital sales of the Indie electric scooter in the Indian market. From the Big Billion Day sale, River Indie will be available on the omni-channel digital retail ecosystem within the brand’s existing retail network. The prospective buyers can book, discover and purchase the electric scooter online. The option of visting the company authorized dealerships across 80 cities in India remains open as well. The Indie will automatically launch on Flipkart in new markets and stores as the company expands.

The customers can directly access all product information and relevant communication on the River brand store on Flipkart.
River Mobility is currently present across 48 cities with 72 stores, further expanding access to the Indie across key markets in India. Hence, the partnership with Flipkart is another attempt by River Mobility to expand the reach of the Indie through both digital and physical retail channels. The electric scooter is sold at a sticker price of Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
The Indie is available in a total of five colour schemes namely Monsoon Blue, Summer Red, Spring Yellow, Winter White and Storm Grey. It can be booked on the brand’s website by paying a token amount of Rs 2,500. The e-scooter comes with total storage capacity of 55 litres. The Indie is powered by a 4 kWh battery pack which returns an IDC range of 163 km on a full charge.
Some of the notable features onboard the Indie electric scooter are hill-hold control, lighter chassis. 177 mm ground clearance, 6-inch instrument cluster, smartphone app integration via Bluetooth, real-time charging status and ride statistics. A couple of months back, the Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer rolled out the 50,000th Indie electric scooter in less than three years of its launch in India.
The Indie clock a top speed of 90 kmph while accelerating from 0-40 kmph in 3.7 seconds in Rush mode. It gets three riding modes namely Eco, Ride and Rush. The company currently manufactures the Indie at its facility in Hoskote, Karnataka, which handles both vehicle and battery pack assembly. The company is now developing a new utility-lifestyle vehicle, which is expected to sit alongside the Indie but target a different set of buyers.
