RE Trials price is significantly higher than the respective Bullet models they are built on…
This has to go down as one of the funniest OEM launch of the last many years. Royal Enfield has finally launched Bullet Trials in India. They are inspired by the Trials models they used to sell in the 1940s.
Offered as single seaters, RE Trials have weird looking upswept exhaust. But weirder are those colour themes – Trials 350 gets a red coloured frame whereas the 500 comes with a green coloured unit – both share silver coloured body parts. Trials are being offered with Ceat branded knobby tyres.
RE is pushing these motorcycles as ‘the most enduring tale in motorcycling‘ but frankly, they do not appear to be well-thought-off OEM motorcycles. As is obvious, the engines remain absolutely unchanged with the Trials 500 producing 27.2 bhp of peak power at 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm of max torque at 4000 rpm from the single cylinder 499cc fuel injected motor and Trials 350 churning out 19.8 bhp of peak power at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm of max torque at 4000 rpm from its 346 cc single cylinder twinspark motor.
At 192 kg kerb, Trials 500 is 4 kilograms lighter than the Bullet 500 whereas the Trials 350 carries over the same weight of 187 kg. Rear disc brake as well as dual channel ABS is standard on both the motorcycles.

The Trials are being promoted as Enfields which can off-road too and this has also led a part of the media to write them as scramblers.
