Yamaha India’s current flagship, the R15 Version 2.0 gets two new colors this spring to celebrate Holi, the Hindu festival of color. Designed for the budding racing enthusiasts, the R15 in these two new color schemes is company’s latest attempt to excite and freshen up the bike.
The one featured above, called as Streaking Cyan, is a special edition color and looks fabulous whereas the other, GP Blue, looks like one from the regular lineup!
It has been Yamaha’s strategy to continuously freshen up their products with new colors and sticker jobs and surprisingly, unlike some other manufacturers, their products actually end up looking fresher, if not better! That, possibly, has to do with the brand image Yamaha enjoys here in India.
The R15 has been a magnificent motorcycle by all standards and has helped all the budding Rossis and Lorenzos to taste first blood of racing bikes!
The new R15’s continue to use the same 149.8 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, fuel injected mill, which churns out 17 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
Yamaha R15 Price
Targeted at the age group of 18 to 25 year olds youngsters, both the versions of the bike carry a price tag of Rs 1,17,260 ex-showroom, Delhi.
Apart from these, R15 V2 is already available in Racing Blue, Raring Red, Invincible Black and special edition Grid Gold. We are not sure if any one or more of these colors have been discontinued!
With this, we urge Yamaha to launch the R25 or R3 here, and soon!
