Polaris Donates 5 ATVs For Flood Relief in Uttarakhand; Launches Lucknow Dealership

Off-road Vehicle maker, Polaris marked its foray into the Indian market a couple of years back. Since then the company has managed to be a niche player in this segment and has been rapidly expanding its dealer network in order to aim for maximum share that this segment could promise.

Polaris Donates 5 ATVs to Uttarakhand Government

The company yesterday donated 5 ATVs (All Terrain Vehicles) to the Uttarakhand Government to aid in the efforts of flood relief that very recently shook the nation with a wave of shock. Though Indian Army has been striving with its full efforts in getting the best relief measures possible, these ATVs would further ease up and help in the relief operations.

Polaris has donated one Sportsman Big Boss 6X6 800, one Sportsman 550 Hunter EPS, one RZR S 800 EFI and two Ranger 900 Diesel. The vehicles were handed over to Mr. Vijay Bahuguna, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand at C.M.’s residence in Dehradun. Not just this, the company has also offered to maintain these vehicles for a period of two years with full service and repair at no cost to the government as part of a goodwill gesture.

Commenting at the occasion, Mr Pankaj Dubey, MD, Polaris India said

“We are moved by the magnitude of the recent tragedy in Uttarakhand. With the entire network of roads in and around the states destroyed and non-existent now, apart from debris on the ground from thousands of destroyed homes, we feel that Polaris India can extend a hand of support to help expedite the relief operations. These specialized Off Road Vehicles will help in making these areas accessible.”

Polaris Launches Dealership in Lucknow

Very recently Polaris launched their Lucknow dealership which is their 14th dealership in India. Lucknow adds up to the existing network that the company has in cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, New Delhi, Ludhiana, Indore, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

At this occasion, Polaris also handed over their flagship model RZR S 800 to cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar for being the ‘Man of the Series’ of the recently concluded Tri-Series in West Indies.
